Sorry guys, but you are beating a dead horse. They transferred LEGALLY, MOVED LEGALLY, and did so by the rules. I can't say that for the rest of the teams, but I guess you all are focused on LC and their transfers because they are better than yours....nicker:
So pretty much you are saying that it's ok for kids to transfer in from other states, cause I have a lil info about 2 players transferring to a school in the 15th they are 6'8 and 6'9, so it's ok for them to show up huh?

Morgan 70
Magoffin 44
In case you don't remember your Hornets lost two games this year by double digits. One to Lawrence co by 15. And the other by 26 to who??? Guess Morgan was the best team you all played all year. If you guys do get by the first round Lawrence will stomp you. I'll be there to cheer on the Bulldogs!

Did they MOVE here? Then, yes. I mean what would you like? A rule that states "if you were not BORN in the city of your high school, you are ineligible"?????? :please:

I remember when Belfrey was strong in the early 90's. I remember playing against them, good teams..They had two kids on their JV team that could dunk, I remember that for some reason. My wife was at Allen central when they won in 94'..

All you do is run your mouth, we had mullins out when we played you and had a off night, all I know is your but is at the house while we are still going, so sit on your fat but and eat some chips and keep that fat mouth shut.

So Mullins your 3rd best player would have made up for the 26 point difference? Enjoy your two games you have left, cause the season ends for you then. And it's butt with 2 t' s. And it's had AN off night not a off night. Go Bulldogs!! All the way to Rupp....

I guess he would have made a difference, if I remember correctly we beat you with him the first time we played you.

You must be a sad individual to put down kids for success. it's sad to be so jealous of our hornets, maybe you all can play fundamental league.

Now back to the title thread. Lawrence is very good and compares to some of the better 15th region teams over the years. Paintsville had some good teams in the 90's. Johnson Central has had a lot of success. And Shelby Valley has had some good teams. The 15th overall is down but that means more balance and closer games. I think the 2nd-10th best teams in the region have been capable of beating each other. It's just so hard for even the mountain teams to compete with some of the bigger schools year in and year out.

Fighter09 itsok Perry will bring in some players in from New York for next season . Wait he did that this year , and you still went home . Lol

I for one am a fan of Lawrence county, I love watching them play. I have no reason to be biased about it, I graduated from Betsy Layne. I hope Lawrence county wins the region like they should. I feel that if anyone could make a run at Rupp it's them.

Just hope they don't run into Christian Co, I've watched them play, they are highly explosive on offense and defense, they remind me of a taller version of LC...

You are talking about Lawrence , making a run a Rupp and they could not even win the WYMT . They are a good team but if they get in foul trouble they are done .

CC has already beaten LC once this year in the Tip Off Classic. I've heard Frankie Smith's team has only improved since then.

They were at Pike Central in late January and played a school from Indiana and North Laurel and they destroyed both teams possibly the best team I've seen in a long time...

Not sure why everybody is taking it so personal. Lawrence County is a good team, but in most years they wouldn't win the region with this team. After Lawrence County, the Region is awful compared to other regions and other years. If you say otherwise then you are clearly biased. The 15th will be 1 and out at Rupp regardless of who goes.

Lawrence County may be in comparison to some of the other teams in the 15th Region over the years but they are not even in the same stratosphere of the mid-to-late 90's Paintsville teams. Those Tiger teams brought a lot of size and athleticism to the floor that will most likely never be seen again in Eastern Kentucky. 6'10, 6'9, 6'7, 6'3 and 6'1 was the size of their starting 5.
In that starting 5 you had a Mr. Basketball with over 40 D1 offers from the likes of Kansas, Indiana, Marshall and Florida that would end his career as a member of the Marshall University Hall of Fame. Another individual was selected in the 6th Round of the MLB draft by the Orioles only to go on to be an All-Conference Basketball Player in the MSC after hanging up his spikes. He would share that collegiate All-Conference honor with two other guys from that high school's starting 5 rotation. Another had given a verbal commitment to Clemson for both basketball and baseball only to switch to UK after a strong showing in front of Tubby Smith. A very, VERY good collection of talent during that time. I made the trek to Paintsville or wherever they were playing many nights during that era because it was something to behold.
Again, Lawrence County may be comparable to some teams over the years but I would never put them and those Paintsville teams in the same conversation when it comes to talent, ability, success or anything else should someone try to make an honest, historical comparison for this Lawrence County team.
