Well guys it's been forever since I read anything on BGR I felt like commenting on, but since you brought this up, why will no Johnson County Elementary or Middle School schedule Paintsville in football or basketball, boys or girls???

I don't know when this changed but when I was in school Paintsville played the Johnson County elementary schools...now the youngest Tigers have to travel out of the county when they could pick up six elementary school games by playing in their own county. The admins need to bury the hatchet and allow the games to resume. It's a win-win for all.

Surely, that is not the real reason. JC has nothing to gain by playing a little struggling Class A school in football. You would think they would want to get rid of that game. JC football has its eyes on a much bigger prize with their powerhouse football program. The ones who run this program are not missing getting to beat an inferior opponent by 70. All they would get out of this game is risking either losing a player due to either suspension because of the amped up emotion, or an injury, or (although unlikely) have Paintsville sneak up and give them a tight game, or -God forbid- lose to the small school. That would be terribly embarrassing to their state power image. They have nothing to gain at all. It seems that the generation of Dads who regularly lost to the Tigers are the only ones interested in getting back at them now that it is so lopsided. That is not a very competition minded goal. The elementary kids, however, could still have some good competitive games.

Paintsville has just dropped off pitiful.Sheldon Clark has a good team but geez.Coaching change around the bend for Paintsville? One of the most signature programs in basketball with heavy tradition in eastern Ky or the state and they laid a egg.It happens we all know and I hope Paintsville gets things back in order.Parsley can play.
