Shane Hall is 6'9 1/2 with a 42" Vertical leap a tremendous shot blocker and puts the ball on the floor from rim to rim.. I know that is very common around these parts. Its a funny thing how almost every college coach in America calls me to ask about him almost daily.. But I know I know you guys know much more about identifying talent than they do!! Sorry I spoke up!:please:
It's official then. We have the white Magic Johnson in the 15th region.

I agree with you 100% Justin is the better player when it come down to it...when I watched the games between them them last year, I thought to my self, this guy is Shane hall and people say he is so much better than johnson, they all must be on crack or tripping on acid or something like that...Justin johnson was by far the best in the 15th region and will be in the 14th region as well. Congrats to him and I wis him the best of luck!!!!

42 inch vertical leap??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Harrison Barnes had the highest vertical leap at the NBA Draft Combine this year and it was 38 inches I think. Shane Hall doesnt get up like him. lol

There is a difference between high school and college basketball.
Would I rather have Johnson on my team as a high school kid? Yea, thats not saying I wouldnt take Hall though.
But Hall has the potential and something that is not coachable, height. Thats what will get you attracted by bigger schools.

I have never seen this kid play as I said earlier. But at 6"9 I would guess his standing reach would be over 9 feet. So standing with feet planted he can jump straight up and stick his hand 6 inches over the top of the backboard ? Where can I buy a ticket for that? Really I dont care what it cost because you can only see history a few times in your life and I dont want to miss it. Then after this amazing feat. Please bend over and let me kiss your hind end on the courthouse steps. I wont mind because after I have seen it all I might aswell do it all. I will wager there is not a 6'9 human on the planet that can do that.

I would take any of the three. But as many have said Johnsn is probably the best high school player. If he gets a growth spurt he will be something special.

Lebron is 6'9 with a 40.3 vertical leap. Seen hall play numerous times. NOWHERE near that type of air.

All these comparisons are honestly a waste of time if Johnson gets eligible at Perry County Central. Let everyone have their own opinions and when it comes time for the district, region, and state tournaments let it be decided who is the better high school basketball player. All three are very great talents, not just for mountain basketball, but for anywhere in the country. I hope all have very great seasons and I wish them the best. As a fan and Perry Alumni I would like to give a shout out and welcome Justin into our program. I look forward to seeing him in action.

Shane had 30 points and 15 rebounds and 5 dunks and a division 1 scholarship offer after this game? Why don't you ask Jaysean how he likes Southern Idaho?

Hall and Paige were the best two players I saw in the mountains last year for Their POSITIONS. Lets be honest, comparing apples to oranges!

Well Jaysean Paige is what 6'2? For someone Hall's size to get posterized by someone Paige's size..
I was just sayin'...

High Jumper Javier Sotomayor has a documented vertical of 54 inchs he is also the world record holder in the High Jump clearing 8 feet .5 inchs. The rim is 10 Ft off the floor and this dude can clear his whole body over 8FT think of what dunks he could do. Anyway I agree no way Shane Hall has a 42 inch Vertical, my guess would be somewhere around 32" to 34" range. Hall is the #1 college prospect in the 15th Region. I have heard lots of stuff about how he has to improve his offensive skills to play D1 Ball which doesn't mean horse Hockey to D1 Coach if he has the potential to guard a 5, 4 and 3 he will go anywhere he wants, UK included! We saw how much D means in today game, Davis from UK can truly guard a 1,2,3,4 and 5 at the D1 leval ! And were is he now?
