Are u just jealous of him our what. My opinion and a lot of other peoples opinion is Justin Johnson was the top player in the 15th region and he will be in the 14th region!!!!!

Shane Hall is the best player in east ky. He is ranked in every national publication. He has already been offered a scholarship by Butler. He is ranked anywhere from 26 to 86 in the country in the class of 2014. He will let you guys think what you want , as long as the college scouts keeps coming and
Making scholarship offers is all that matters. Also, how many sweet 16 s have all these other guys you all speak of led there team to?
#7
Congrats to these to young men.

As far as Justin not being listed, doesnt matter. Everyone has there opinion. I think it would be hard to seperate the 3 if you had to sit & choose between them.

He'll be the second best player on his team this year. I'm a Perry fan so I have no problems with Justin Johnson lol

No sure who’s “opinion" you are referring to but the experts who get paid to evaluate players do not agree. They clearly see Shane Hall as the most talented player in the 15th Region and possibly in the state of Kentucky.
Justin Johnson is a fine high school player with small college talent. Please do not that this as a negative comment. Justin gets the most out of his talent, just limited due to his skill set (post player) and due to his height.

Both are great kids and I would take either on my team any day of the week.

With that said, how are you bashing on Johnson's skill set?

Shane is a freak athlete, but Johnson skill set, post moves and shooting other than FT's is on par or better than Hall's.

Kasango. Most overrated player ever or gets less with more, you decide.

Just like some one said in another subject in here, it takes money to get you any where in eky. Maybe that is why everyone says Shane hall is ranked 1. Last time I checked his dad is a doctor or some like that, and he shells out a lot of green!!!!

I am not taking nothing away from Shane hall he is a good player and seems like a good kid!!

And because these guys get paid to evaluate players means what? How can a guy that has no background with any athletic success be considered a "Expert" in talent evaluation. These so called experts only parrot what they hear from other so called "Experts" They are journalism majors that write on sites to sale memberships. look at how many great players end up at small schools and you say wow where did he come from? A guy that has never played the game and has never been a scorer wont even see the little things that are done away from the ball that makes a player or others around him good. So your statement leads me to believe that you are a "Kool Aid" drinker and no more than a parroting fan yourself. I have never seen either one of these guys play but when you start talking about writers saying this and that, you lose all credibility with me.

This is sure to draw the fire from our friends in the north and west. Most talented in the state?

In the 4 meetings combined between JC and SC last year, Hall had 40 points and 40 rbs. Johnson had 59 points and 62 rbs. Anyone who watched them go head to head knows who the better player is.
#17
All these kids your talking about is great players. Let them decide where they go. All 3 are JR this season with 2 long yrs to go. Lets sit back and enjoy them!!! Not everyday you get to see 3 studs like this in the mountains.

Brad Stevens at Butler sure knows. TongueirateSho

Just like I said in the thread about Johnson going to PCC. He was the 3rd best big man last year in the 15th. Not taking anything away from the kid. Just giving credit where credit is due. And to say it would be hard to choose between the 3 is silliness. Any high school coach who would take Kasongo or Johnson over Hall, well don't need to be coaching.

Not only is his dad a doctor but his mom is the CEO of Pikeville Medical Center.

I think Ballstar mentioned the other day that Johnson was the better High School player out of the two of them. Johnson probably won't go to as prestigious a school - but you can bet the house that he will do just fine in the mountains.

As does coach Martin at UT:Thumbs:

A lot of factors go into stats. How many shots did each take to achieve those points. Who played the most minutes? Did they guard each other? Was either in foul trouble? What was the final score of the game?

The point I'm getting at is just becuase you have more points and more rebounds doesn't mean you are a better player. JJ Jude is the all time rushing record holder in the state of Kentucky but he wasn't even the best running back in Eastern Ky last season. Again not taking anything away from any of these athletes as they are all quality players and seems to be outstanding young men. But come on people, when making a statement at least use some logic.

Kasongo already had offers from Arizona and UCLA.

Anyone that would take Kasongo over Johnson needs to not be allowed in a gym.

Guys see if anyone could ask Dr. Hall to do a brain surgery on some of these idiots on this site.. Shane Hall is 6'9 1/2 with a 42" Vertical leap a tremendous shot blocker and puts the ball on the floor from rim to rim.. I know that is very common around these parts. Its a funny thing how almost every college coach in America calls me to ask about him almost daily.. But I know I know you guys know much more about identifying talent than they do!! Sorry I spoke up!:please:
