Williamsburg wins big.

Backwoods, when we played middlesboro, I can say this cause my son plays.. Pineville didn't evn run but 3 defense of plays, they ddnt blitz boro any, im not taking anything away from Wbugh tho, great football team, I'm glad there actually have some great seasons, an actually got players who want to win.. But it's different when u run ur wholeplay book, eathier way I wish the best of luck to wburgh hope they have an injury free season, and god bless to the team an coaching staff... Still believe pineville will pull it out 21-16 late

I love when people bring this up, and I will not even begin to argue with you because we would be here all day. Recruiting does not go on at these schools. What happens is people make decisions that best fit them and their children. Williamsburg gets some kids, Whitley gets some kids, and Corbin gets some kids. I do not believe anybody wins out all of the time over any other school. Most of the kids that transfer from school to school never see the field.

The way it looks Whitley County does most of their recruiting from McCreary County.Confusednicker:

I think it will be a much closer game than most people are thinking. A lot of people may have to high of an opinnion about Williamsburg, and it is still way to early to know how good any of these teams actually are. Williamsburg will probably win, but I think it will definetly be a close game at the half.

Yes BDC thank u for being honest, most ppl don't post ther opinions, they post stuff like they do, jst cuz one team is smaller then the other.. The old saying is, dinamite comes in small pakages..

This.

The only people you will hear hollering about recruiting are the kids. Anybody with sense knows it doesnt go on like it use to. But it did at one time. I can remember the days when half of Corbins teams went to Whitley at some point during there careers, and those were some very good teams.
As for the Wburg situation, the only kid that could be valuable to Whitley is Sizemore, who was at Whitley in the 8th grade, but i think everybody can understand him going to Wburg, considering his arm might get him into a college, and he might throw 5 times a game at Whitley. You work with what you got and move on.

You can talk a bout me all you want, im a grown up.
But you better believe here at BGR, we will protect the kids first.
When you bring up family issues or problems of underage kids, this is not the place for it.

I totally agree.

I apologize his paper came in today I an Billy Keyes principal of pineville, he is one day to late, but he will be playn next week he was suppose to have four practices in, an he only had one.. But they will me in the playoffs, and he will help defeat burgh evn bettr thn this friday.. Buy for who ever is wondering yes he will be eligible, next week
#42
Ill beleive it when i see he plays! Go Pineville tho
#43
the williamsburg team has a lineman who was a transfer that does get to play this week and will be starting on the line 6'4 and 245lbs and can run like a linebacker. Williamsburg's speed will be too much for Pineville. When you mix speed with an air attack like Williamsburg's it is hard to beat, it is even harder to beat when you have to worry about the new running game of the jackets that destroyed the defensive plan of Harlan last week.
#44
The kid doesn't get to play for williamsburgh, the head coaches off pineville, Harlan, and hazard had a meetin today, the kid wil have to set out 6 games, and hes only a sophomore, they say he cldnt move a hitting dumby, an he's very slow, sp idk, eathier way dnt b surprised at the end of the game, go lions
#45
If the 6'4'' 245 lineman from Williamsburg is the same kid I'm thinking of, he went to W'burg in the 8th grade and helped anchor the O and D lines for the Jacket's State Championship season. He's had family issues and went to Whitley last year. More issues brought him back to W'burg. This was a sensitive family matter and NOT a recruitment thing.

I agree with UptheGut's feeling that this shouldn't be a forum to air the dirty laundry of any underage kids.

BTW, the kid in question can most certainly move more than a tackling dummy. Too bad Lion Pride won't get to see that on Friday.

As for the W'burg freshmen... a bunch of them start on special teams. They have speed to spare and stay in their lanes. They're too inexperienced to be undisciplined.
#46
he does get to play. He has not played since seventh grade and has met the practice requirements. You must be thinking of someone else.
#47
no disrespect lion fans, but two players (tanner mike and dalton hughett) dont make a difference. quick question, why is kids moving from mboro this season?
wburg-42
pville-7
#48
Both kids were removed from middelsboros team!
#49
I am not sure who they are talking about who transfered to Williamsburg, but I have heard that they have a couple of kids who are banged up and/or sick. We will just have to wait till Friday night to see who plays. No matter what, Williamsburg will win.

Williamsburg 60 Pineville 22
#51
Willamsburg by 20
#52
williamsburg is one of the best defenses in the state only 8pts scored on them so far this season

104 pts won
8pts lost

the mt lions might have thrown for 300yds last week but the odds of that happening this week are slim. the linebackers for wiliamsburg are too fast for pineville and the williamsburg line dominates in the trenches.
#53
Williamsburg still has a lot to prove before they are mentioned as a elite team in single A. They have a lot of good skill positions and are pretty big up front.

My prediction
WHS-38
Pineville-14
#54
Williamsburg by 21.
