Congratulations Joe. He had been pondering on scholarship offers from Campbellsville and Union for a few weeks. He accepted the scholarship from Union College today. I talked to Joe today and he is very happy with his decision. Joe said he chose Union because its closer to home, and will allow him to receive a good education while doing what he loves best.. I heard on the radio earlier that the approval for Hillard Howard's salary was not approved, saying he isn't qualified enough for the position of Drug Counselor.

With that said. He will not be the head coach of Letcher County Central as of right now.

Pike central principle promises a state championship... is it possible?

Is ERHS going to be any good next year? with this new coach, we should be pretty good. i have heard that he makes us work and that makes us better in the season. But i havent played under him yet. Is he a good coach? He has coached all over this county, and someone has to know how good of a coach he is. Who knows?

The football program today offically announed that Coach Mac formally of pikeville is the new head coach of pc. But, not only that but Irv Dotson will be offensive and defensive line coach. They were 11 coaches to be accounted at central right now. Four returning from last year. Preece, Deskins, Williamson, and Thompson. The others i really cant remember the names.

By the looks of things, Central should turn things around in the next 3 or 4 years. Now, they have coaches at the feeder school helping the weight lifting programs. Should be exciting to see the results of this program.

Pike Central will hold a press conference this evening at 5p to announce the new football staff at the school for the 2005 season.
The conference will be broadcast on MIX 103.1 and ZRock 107.5.
