2. Belfry
3. Shelby Valley
4. Sheldon Clark
IMO # 1 and 2 can goto either way depending on who wins the matchup.
Shelby Valley isn't losing to much and they seem to have alot of kids out with new coach Ben Howard.
Sheldon Clark should be improved and could possibly make some noise in the district.
East Ridge is going through another coaching change and will set them back again but have some talent coming up.

Belfry - This is a bit controversial because older Pirate fans even have trouble determing who is better of these two I am going to mention.
The two are Doug Howard & Rick Kestner (I think that is his last name). Most everyone on here knows about Doug so I'm not going to elaborate on him, but Mr. Kestner is the only former Pirate I know of to play in the NFL. Some say James Ramey did too, but I've never heard it verified. Most of the old school Pirate fans say that Mr. Kestner was truly a man among boys during his high school playing days and even in college. He had a very successful career in the NFL and is one of the all-time mountain greats.
Doug Howard had, without a doubt, the most prolific statistical career of any former Pirate. Career rushing leader, career TD leader, career points leader, State Finals rushing yards record-holder, arguably the best ILB @ Belfry, and the best player on the Pirates only two Championship teams.
If you judge only high school I'd say the edge goes to Doug, but Rick Kestner has had the most overall success of any former Pirate. In Doug's defense he is still in high school.
I for one have no problem calling this a wash.

Are they gonna be strong again this year.. They had two excellent RBs last year.. Are they returning???

Does anyone know?

The Pirates have got the best of the Blackcats the last two season. Who do you think will be the strongest of these two teams next year?

With the recent coaching change and players learning a new system. Do you think Pikeville will have a legitimate shot at winning the region again this year or will it take the players time to adjust to the new coach and system.

I talked with a good source.. South Floyd could really struggle next year. Right now they only have 18 players that have committed to play. I thought with the great season they had last year would increase more interest in the football program. Hopefully Donnie Daniels and some of the players can convince more boys to come out for the team. I know they are a few good athletes on the basketball and football team. I sure hope more interests builds before this season.

What you think?

Paintsville is returning almost every player from last years team. How do you guys think they will do this upcoming season. Maybe a district title?

Who is the best MLB's that has played at your school??
