Belfry 56 Clay County 36
#31
Rockcastle sounds a little insecure.
I know y’all aren’t used to playoff success, at least in my lifetime, but it’s best to take it a game at a time. Lawrence County isn’t a team to sleep on.

As for “coming to Rockcastle” - I’ve seen the Pirates go on the road and break a lot of hearts in a lot of stadiums in November… be careful what you wish for.

With that said, Hilton vs Haywood is always fun… who knows how many more of these we will get.

We are in no way over looking LC we just have eyes on going to Kroger field and that’s the ultimate goal. You will see come Friday how we over looked you. Watch some film on Rock it’s obvious you haven’t. We have one of the best players in 3A along with great speed at WR we don’t call him Johnny football for nothing.

FACT: It wasn't 63-14 with Rock's varsity vs Clay's varsity.  It was, in fact, 29-20 at halftime.
FACT: Rockcastle County did not pull their starters in the mid 3rd quarter.  In fact, the running clock didn't start in that game until the 4th quarter at 56-20, Rockcastle then left their starters in to score the last touchdown, also in the 4th quarter.  The Rockets didn't pull their starters until less than 10 minutes remained in the game with the clock running.  Clay County scored 20 points on Rockcastle's varsity IN THE FIRST HALF.
FACT: Belfry scored 56 points and got a running clock on Clay County in the first half.

Perhaps you should work on your memory--or just tell the truth.

You speak the facts! Another thing to consider is that Clay was closer to being healthy and had a couple players back last night as opposed to the Rockcastle game. Halftime score vs. Rockcastle could have very easily been 29-28 as Rockcastle got an interception either in the endzone or just outside to end the 1st half that game. Never let facts mess up a good story!
Scores and more scores so let everyone know the score of the Rock and Paris game at Rock
Wasn’t at the Rock it was at Paris and if we played that game 10 times we win 9 of those

Sounds like the Pirates are already in this Rock fans head two weeks before they potentially play lol
Lmao Belfry in our head? We literally want you to win! We want Belfry to come play at Rock in 3rd round don’t know how you can figure your in our heads you probably won’t find another fan base rooting for you guys harder outside of Belfry and “Pond Creek” or whatever
You just talk a lot of junk for a program that hasn’t made it past the 2nd round since 2006 ? I admire the confidence though
Yea second round under the coach we replaced. We have Larkey now and in just two short years he has put us back on the map where we belong and let’s face it Rock will be advancing year after year from here on out just like we used to

Never said it wouldn’t be a great game bc it will be if it happens. But we have had success might not have been in your life time but has been in mine and we used to be a good program under Tom Larkey maybe you have heard of him he has won several games and been in big time matchups before in his time at Rock and now we have his son back home attempting to do the same here at the Rock that his dad did and in just two short years he has done just that but it’s ok because this Friday we play LC and we shall see. Best of luck against Bell we know how tough they are as we have had several battles over the years with them.

For Rockcastle’s sake….I hope their Coach isn’t into score comparisons as much as their fan base is. Better be focusing in on LC and take games as they come. You better believe Hilton and Haywood are.

It was never in doubt and virtual same type of score then. Clay never threaten to beat Rock and we comfortably cruise to victory. I find it funny tho it appears with every comment you make you show more and more how you are obviously not a rock fan or just against Larkey either way he is second best coach to ever coach here behind his dad and he may have a chance to do something this year that his dad didnt or at the very least do the same but in a lot quicker time period.

I find it funny how you talk yourself into things that didn't happen. There is a huge difference in Belfry putting up 56 points on Clay County in the first half, getting a running clock, and playing their JVs the whole second half, and Rockcastle having to keep their starter in until less than 10 minutes to go in the game to get the running clock.

Fact is, you just made up the "it was 63-14 with Rock's varsity who came out mid third quarter" and what really happened. You just didn't expect someone to remember what happened and call you on your made up story.

Stop quoting everything you psychopath holy hell this is impossible to read.

I’ve heard of Tom Larkey, I remember him taking a few ass whippings in ‘13 and ‘14 from Coach Haywood.

I can’t answer for your lifetime. Nebraska and SMU used to be relevant too. Doesn’t mean much now.

No need for name calling.   If your goal is to be a keyboard warrior on here…..the moderators will remove you. Take a deep breath….calm down…and focus on Lawrence Co.

Best not over look the LC team. They've lost 3 games this year but they beat themselves. But the defense hasnt gave up over 14 points all season. They can beat you all over the field!! Lc is starting to play the best ball they've played all year! And if I'm not mistaking the belfry/lawrence game came down to the last drive. Yea belfry made mistakes the 2nd half but lc made all their mistakes in the 1st, hence giving up 14 points
Knox central is not that great but LC's defense was too tough for the #2 running back in 3A to step outta the backfield!
These 4 teams that's left in the region is really tough teams!!
The rock is known for passing, they better stick true to it!! Because there's no running on this bulldawg defense.

You didn't do an update thread on this site, because you were on a forced vacation.  However, your updates on another location reflect exactly what I said above.  The running clock happened in the 4th quarter, not the middle of the 3rd, and it was only a 29-20 game at the half.
