First of all 4ever witness , Tim Couch is one of my favorite qb.to ever play the game . Bad luck for him he ended up at Cleveland . I think if he would have went anywhere else he would still be playing . But as far as being the best athlete to come out of ky , I think you maybe stretching it there a bit. There have been several great athletes come out of ky. Though I can't name them all two that stand out are Cassius clay and Phil Simms . Even though Couch was a great athlete , to compare him to the likes of athletes like these are ridiculous . Just my opinion !!!

I think that he was referring to the best High school athlete in Kentucky. That is not in doubt. Since ESPN list him as the 6th best high school athlete in History.

I usually couldn't care less about Leslie County football unless they're playing Prestonsburg and I usually don't root for a team to lose unless they're playing Prestonsburg but with that being said I hope Leslie County drops all 3 district games because of this thread. I think one of the most disrespectful things you can do is act like playing a game isn't going to matter or mark it down as a win. Betsy Layne and Valley are both good teams and I don't know why Leslie County thinks they are cake walk games when they could easily lose both. Should we go ahead and start a "Leslie County Wins Class 2A" thread?

I wish this thread had been closed along time ago. Trust me, the focus of the players and coaches and support staff at Leslie Co. prepare for 1 game and that is the next one. No bold predictions from anyone in the program. Shelby valley is the next opponent and a VERY good one of which the program holds upmost respect for.

I can't see an argument about the greatest Kentucky athlete without putting in my 2 cents worth about Wallace Wah Wah Jones. He only recently passed away. Here, from kentucky.com is a copy of his obituary.
Wallace "Wah Wah" Jones, widely considered the greatest all-around athlete in University of Kentucky history, died Sunday. He was 88.Mr. Jones had been the last surviving member of Fabulous Five, the team that in 1948 won the first of UK's eight national championships. With four of the Fabulous Five, including Mr. Jones, returning, the Wildcats won the 1949 national championship. A dynasty was born.An All-American basketball player and member of the U.S. team that won the 1948 Olympic gold medal, Mr. Jones was also an all-Southeastern Conference football player for Kentucky. As such, he held the distinction of playing for two lionized coaches: Adolph Rupp in basketball and Paul "Bear" Bryant in football.Even other iconic figures in UK basketball history held Mr. Jones in high esteem.Cliff Hagan, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, said of Mr. Jones, "He was my idol."Joe B. Leslie Co. Is the best team in the state in 1A-4A. Highlands would be their only competition and I still think that would be a 3 TD+ game for the Eagles.
