Rumor: Ryan Harrow to transfer?
#31
He has already sit out one year when he transferred from NC State.

My Priorities are:
1)God
2)Family
3)Cougar Athletics!

Everything else doesn't matter![/COLOR]

Harrow is gone. It's obvious Cal doean't have much faith in him so he's going to the garbage heap. Wiltjer should be tossed out with him . Can't guard anybody. Lead evaporates against good teams when he is in there.
#33
I doubt it.

I still think he could transfer & sit out a year to be a senior wherever he transfers.

I also think he can transfer to an FCS school without having to sitout.
#35
^ he could transfer to a D2 school like Bellarmine and play immediately. there's no FCS & FBS in college basketball, all D1

Lol no way IMO Harrow leaves. I can't believe we're even discussing this. He'll be at UK until he graduates, then go to the NBA.

He was on a ton of mock draft boards at the beginning of the year even with sitting out a year...the next two years will help him alot I think, he has the potential, just needs the mentality. I would be stunned if he left. Always possible though, but I give no merit to these rumors...I'd say transferring is the last thing on his mind right now.

Also think Wiltjer gets to the NBA and is pretty successful as a 3 point specialist. He has two years to improve people, lol.

Unless Wiltjer figures out a way to improve his footspeed I don't see any way he plays in the NBA. Reminds me of Herman Munster out there!

Id rather play Tom Leach then Wiltjer.

Who would win a footrace, Leach or Wiltjer? I got Leach!

I believe Oscar Combs would smoke Wiltjer in the 40.

^ Come on dude! LOL

Doesn't need much speed to be a role player and 3 point shooter. I think he improves greatly in the next 2 years though.

Bye Bye Harrow... Hello Hawkins..... (Back up PG next year)

I think Harrow played great against Florida! Showed that scoring mentality! He packed them most of the game! I dont think Harrow wants to transfer. We need his experience next year even if he is coming off the bench.

No offense to Hawkins, I think he's a great player by in state standards. However, do you really think he's ready to play against guys in a big conference?? I don't. He comes to UK, he'll do mop up duty the first few years & be a reserve throughout his career. He can't compete for PT with NBA guys. He's played consistently throughout the year. He caught the attention of some SEC schools in the state tournament, in which he lead his team to a state title & won MVP. The SEC guys are offering to say look who we stole from Calipari's back yard. Before the state tournament he only had offers from Morehead, Tennessee Tech, & WKU. Although I do hope we add him to put depth to our bench. I'm all for in-state kids, living out their dream & putting on that blue & white. Especially if they can contribute in the future. I don't expect to see him as a consistent starter at UK. Cal brings in top notch PG's every year. Thus far, Harrow has been a bust but you'll have those from time to time. He wasn't Cal's first & I'm sure he won't be his last. I don't expect Hawkins to come in & compete right away. You all shouldn't either, that's too much pressure on him.

As for Wiltjer, he just won SEC's 6th Man of the Year award. Cal stated that voting obviously was before the last week & he hopes it lights a fire for Kyle to play better.

Harrow has shown that after almost two full years and leaves of abscense for "family issues" hes still not ready to play big boy ball.

no offense, but that shows how weak this conference was this year

Wiltjer can stroke but I don't think his shot is NBA good. Yet. He may be able to make it if he can get his stroke like Kyle Korver or JJ Reddick, and it's possible, but he also needs to work on his feet because they are awful. Harrow, might as well transfer. He's a pretty good PG but I don't think he can be a Calipari level PG.

Roumor says that Jared Poulson will be the first player taken in the 2032 draft! Congrates Jared!
#50
Harrow will stay and be the 6th man next year.Him and Kyle will both stay till they graduate. Both will go in the second round when they are drafted. Its that simple folks.
#51
^^^ I agree they will stay till there senior year! They need the experience next year!!!
#52
Harrow won't even be the backup PG next year. Cal will slide the other Harrison twin over and let him run the point. Or if Wiggins comes, he could use Andrew as a Point Forward. So many options next year that would be better than Harrow.

From everything I'm reading, many people are thinking Harrow is leaving at the end of the year.

But I will also say that insiders are saying UK has already gotten a commitment from Julius Randle and that Poythress is indeed coming back next year.

Harrow will transfer. He will be lucky to get 5 mins a year if he stays. And Wiltjer will try and go pro. As a situational player, come in, knock a few threes down, sit. Every NBA team has a Wiltjer on their bench. He's 2nd round this year. Next years draft is loaded. And he won't improve much if he stays all four years. May as well go in a weak draft now. Only player I see that may come back is Alex. Rest, are gone.

Wiltjer going pro is a joke. Can't guard anybody and is waaay to soft to play in NBA. He'll get is 12 minutes a game next year. Harrow is gone. Cal's run on making PG's solid stopped here. Harrison's are tough but will only have them for a year. The mess caused by one-and-donescould just be starting.

NBA doesn't need Kyle to guard. I know a scout that says he's perfect for situational use. Just use him when they need a quick three, then sit him back down. There's no mess with one n dones. Just need an upperclassmen or two every year. Look for Alex to come back next year, rest are gone.

Also the only reason Cal took Harrow was there were no quality point guards in last year's class. No pg in top 30. We are already in on #2 pg Emmanuel Mudiay and #3 Tyus Jones in the ’14 class. And Mudiay is almost a lock. Cal will get either the #1 or #2 pg year in and year out.

^ Hope we get Mudiay, cause Jones is pretty much a lock for Duke...

Mudiay is basically ours if we want. Jones was only a backup to Mudiay.

Watched the Harrisons on TV in their state final & based on that game not sure that the PG is any better than Harrow. Alot of hype & expectations for these twins but again from
that game didn't see either as leading Big Blue to the promised land.
