Trinity v Highlands Scrimmage

I take this beating with several large grains of salt. First T is very good. You don't have that many D-1 players, along with excellent coaching and player commitment and not have an exceptionally good football team.

Also, since Highlands basically went with the two platoon system in the 09 year, the Birds have not started the season near as strong as they used to. Not on O; not on D; and not on special teams. Way too many first year starters and young players out there to start the season strong playing against good or in Trinity's case, very good players. By mid season, it becomes a different story. The Trinity scrimmage is good for one thing and one thing only: to get these young and new starters seasoned and up to speed as quickly as possible.

Birds will be fine.

Because of such a lop sided score against Trinity, many will count the Birds out
& for the teams that do, they will be proven wrong. Make no mistake Highlands is still the team to beat in 4a. & any team not named Trinity or ST X. in Ky

as for as Trinity goes the Birds were simply overmatch
