So who had 9-0 as the 1st quarter score? Nobody? Didn't think so.
Was that the quickest 1st quarter in SB history?
Looked like Rob Gronkowski was hopping on his good ankle when blocking there.
This drive is a good rest for Patriots D. That group was on the field nearly all of the first quarter.

like the Giants line. They are being aggresive.
Pats need 7 not 3

This is 10th time in a Super Bowl that a team had a lead of 9 pts or more after 1st quarter. Previous 9 teams are 7-2 in the game.
Patriots settle for a FG. Giants 9, Patriots 3.
Eli Manning completed all 9 passes in the 1st quarter. It was the most passes completed without an incompletion by any quarterback in the playoffs since his brother Peyton went 11-for-11 in the 1st quarter of the Colts 2007 Divisional Playoffs loss to the Chargers
9-3... I think this one FEELS much more uneven than it really is. Long game!
LAST PLAY S.Gostkowski kicks 72 yards from NE 35 to NYG -7. J.Jernigan, Touchback.

Jerrel Jernigan #12 KR

With Jason Pierre-Paul’s batted pass on the 3rd down, the Giants have batted down 19 passes this season including playoffs, but 12 batted passes in their last 6 games (including Super Bowl). In the playoffs, the Giants’ 6 batted passes are most among any team in the playoffs(next-highest team with 3).
Patriots played a full quarter without throwing a pass to either tight end. Short number of plays, but still weird.
