I remember him playing but he was a little younger than me.
Robbie Obryan went on to coach for Winthrop I believe, do you know if he is still there?

Robbie is no longer coaching. The last time that we talked, he was working as a pharmacy rep.

I would have Rick Pack and Shawn Newsome on there somewhere. Maybe instead of Horne, he was a good ball player but i dont think he was better than Pack or Newsome. Not too sure about having Bruce Mullins on there either. Definitely agree with Hall, Jenkins, and Branham though.

That is what I am saying. I can't believe that Bart is not on this list. He and Harry are probably the two best to come out of JCHS IMO.

Chase Gibson needs to be on this list. He is 2nd in the states history in reboounds and blocked shots I believe. Howard Lockhart played at University of Pittsburgh with Mike Ditka. There was also a former Panther who was the number one pick by the NY Knicks a long time ago. His names escapes me right now but he is in the PHS Hall of Fame. We also had a former player who played at UNC on scholarship. Unfortunately his names escapes me as well but he is in the Hall as well.

Howard Wallen (Morehead State)
David Couch (Army)
Bart Williams (Pikeville)
Mike Castle (could have played at a couple places)
Tim Branham (Not sure if he played anywhere after JC )
These are just a few of many that some of you are not old enough to know about, but trust me they're better than anyone that's come through JC in the last 20 years.

A couople of years ago Bart and I were talking about former JCHS players and he was quite partial to Harry Meek being one of the best if not the best to come out of JCHS.

*Grady Wallace-Played at Pikeville College and then the University of South Carolina, where he led the nation in scoring in 1957 averaging 31.3, scoring more than Wilt Chamberlain in 57 and inducted into the SC Hall of Fame.
*Dan Hall- Played at the University of Kentucky
*Ronnie Akers- All state honors I believe, in the last year the Bobcats won the Regional.
I know Rocky Newsome was one of their best players there for a while.

David LeMaster, Brian Lyons, and one I gotta add for the simple fact that he played 4 years at Centre College, that says alot, Stuart Rutledge.

Like you said, too many to choose from but I like your startin 5, I would hate to play that team if they were all the same age, lol.

Look at Redneck and my previous posts...Craig was good, but Joey Couch was TOUGH!!!

Elkhorn City had Jimmy Kent Kerr and Todd "Hef" Conley that I know about. Nobody would dare say that these two wouldn't be in EC starting five for all time.
