Rockcastle County from Kentucky blew open a two-possession game at halftime with a strong third quarter to roll past South Greene 58-40.
Sara Hammond led the way with 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots and six steals as the Lady Rockets advanced to 8-0 on the year.
The Lady Rockets got on the board first and never trailed. Angie Lawrence scored 13.
Rockcastle County led early 14-6 at the end of the first, but South Greene pulled it back with a better second quarter, trailing 26-20 at halftime.
The big difference was the Lady Rockets' defense in the second half. South Greene turned the ball over six times in the first half, 15 over the final two periods. The Lady Rockets scored 17 points on the South Greene mistakes.
South Greene (7-3) was led by 12 points from Shelby Hicks and 10 from Ansley Ricker.
