Just like I predicted in the prediction thread, there were a lot of turnovers. Paintsville had 20 and Phelps had 19. Paintsville scored on a lot of Phelp's turnovers and Phelps couldn't get many breakaway baskets.

Paintsville stats:
L. Carroll 10 pts, 5-6 FG, 4 assists,
K. Carroll 18 pts, 5 reb, 4 steals, 3 blocks, 3 assists (very good defensive game)
Jarrell 13 pts, 12 reb, 2 assists
Russell 8 pts, 2 assists, 3 steals (all coming in the 2nd half)
Adams 8 pts, 4-6 FG, 4 reb, 2 assists

Paintsville 24-53 FG for 45%

It was great to see Russell come out of her funk. She hadn't played even a decent game in a long time. She pulled it together in the 2nd half. Paintsville is a much better team when she is playing decent. Lets hope she continues.

Didn't Phelps hurt Paintsville in anyway? I honestly thought that Phelps would be a tough matchup for Paintsville. Did Phelps have a bad night! That is a lot of turnovers, but Phelps is huge in the paint.

Paintsville's pressure killed Phelps. Paintsville scored almost each time they stole the ball from Phelps. Paintsville had 11 steals which led to 8 easy baskets. Plus, Paintsville shot 45% and had 15 assists.

Also, it was only 22-19 at halftime. In the second half Jessikah Russell played the way we've all been expecting her to. That's the first half of basketball that she's made any difference in in at least 7 games. When she's playing good, Paintsville is whole lot better.

Paintsville is the type of team that if Jarrell, Russell, or BOTH Carroll sisters aren't playing good, they can be beat by average teams. But, if all 4 are having good games, they can be pretty tough. Haven't seen one game this year where even 3 of the 4 had a good game.

Hopefully we'll see it tonight and tomorrow night.
