Bengals / Steelers UPDATES
#31
Stardust Wrote:He was hit in the head, but the ref was not at an angle to see it. Something that the league will take a look at, but I don't think the ref had any chance of seeing that where he was.

Probably true, but there's a couple guys that are supposed to be watching the QB's. Seems like every QB in the league is protected but Ben. Steelers have been flagged so many times for roughing the passer, etc., but none call on other teams against Ben. I think because he is so big and strong he is subjected to more punishment, but that isn't fair. Just like the when he got his nose broken last week. Bad angle again? There is a pattern here. What about Heath Miller last week? Bad angle? Dude just about got his neck broken.

I see your point, but I honestly don't think any of these are real penalties period. I hate what the league has started, and there is no way to change the way these guys play. Just like on the hit to Bens head today, that play was moving so fast, Ben was ducking while the defenders arm was moving. Last year, this would have been a football play. This year it will be a review in the Commissioners office and a fine, with more demerits going to the Refs who did not make a call. I don't like it.

Ben took off the mask. I thought it affected his depth perception

Man, Ben is going to need the entire offseason to heal up. He won't even be able to go Clubbing:biggrin:

But it is what it is. A hit to a QB's head is supposed to be a flag. There is no room for interpretation. Like I said, I have seen NO flags against Steeler opponents this year against Ben. I don't like the rules either, but if they can get the angle to call it on one team, it should be called on all.

He'll find a way. Maybe they can get him a wheelchair.

Awesome defensive stand on the end of that drive

The way they were making it sound on the radio this morning, it seemed like the new turf would not hold up. Field looks great, has not been an issue at all

Good field position for the Bengals. They will have to get a running game established again if they have any chance.

Another Bengals penalty kills a good drive. Seen that every single game of the season

Those two sacks may have just saved the Bengals and have at least given themselves a chance

Palmer sucks and is the biggest bust in the NFL. Send his *** to Buffalo any anybody that we can give him to for NOTHING in return. Draft Newton, and forget Palmer was ever a Bengal!

Don't be too tough on Carson, he has thrown for 3 TD's today. And we are still losing

Glad to see Bengals fight after the game, because they sure didn't during the game
