I personally think the NCC/Belfry game would have been a blowout by NCC, but I agree the rest would have been better games. I also think Central would have beat Mayfield by 2-3 TD's but thats still better than 4-5 td's as the games were.

Ask Trinity if they think they would have beat Highlands big? They scrimmaged and it came down to the last play. Trinity won 49-42. Granted it was a scrimmage and both coaches used a lot of players. Highlands also had some difference makers that didn't play. Trinity and Highlands continue to set the bar and are two evenly matched teams.
I would have preferred to see how quick Highlands would have put the running clock on Newcath.

agreed, do you think it will ever be possible for ste champs to play the next divisions champ? might not be a bad idea.

I think it would be good have 1A/2A champs play, 3A/4A champs, 5A/6A
Or you could even have them play in a bowl game to kick the football season off, have them play a week before the season starts and everyone can watch. Many ppl want like it because the chance of blowing an 15-0 season

there are reasons for classifications, but i would say that the running clock issue would proably of came into play more probable during a trinity/highlands game before the newcath/highlands game.

Nice try. Not even a chance anyone is this state is getting a running clock against Highlands in the forseeable future. I don't think Highlands would necessarily put the running clock on Trinity either, although they may have pounded Trinity with a running clock in 09. Xperthsfan might want to do some fact checking. Highlands was on par with Trinity this year as evidenced by their pre-season matchup that came down to the last offensive play for Highlands(49-42). In 09 Highlands beat Cincy ST X. The same Cincy St X that destroyed 09 Trinity.
The Beechwood team that beat NCC in Week 10 this year, was down 30-0 against Highlands after 1 quarter and 43-0 at the half with Highlands taking it easy on them from the 2nd qtr on.
The running clock would like happen before the half if Highlands and NCC played this year. Those big, slow, plodding lineman for Newcath are a liability versus Highlands.

Highlands would destory NCC....I love the NCC team,,,but not in this one.
They are a machine. It would take a ton of speed to beat them.
Highlands vs Central would be better...

Do you really think Highlands would put a running clock on Trinity, because there is no way that Trinity would put a running clock on the Highlands team of this past weekend. I have watch championship football teams in TN, TX, and or course KY including the teams with Brohm and Bush. By far the best team on any one given night that I have seen is the Highlands team from this past saturday. I know the performance for the season doesn't necessarily back it up, but that one game was unbelievable!

Trinity is the only team that played this past weekend that was capable of beating Highlands, but they wouldn't have beat Highlands on Saturday.
