they played them close the first time. And played them close for a half this time. Looks like Highland controlled the second half

Dixie was a formidable opponent. Highlands made adjustments at halftime and outscored Dixie 28-7 in the 2nd half.

Having played football in NKY, what most people dont know is that Dixie gets the majority of the top talent in NKY coming out of middle school. Dixie has the type of team that matches up well with Highlands, which is a team built around speed. Throw that in with some big guys on the line and they or going to compete with Highlands for a half 7 out of 10 times. Highlands wins their games in the second half, which is what happened in this case.

Pike is a great athlete. He gets his attitude honestly because his dad was the same way and I'm sure it is encouraged at home. His dad use to coach at Dixie until they had enough of his antics and the gig was over. The problelm is you have a kid and a parent or parents running the show because the coaches can't control it. Bad situation Tom S. to be in. He needs to get control but Tom is just one of those "good guys" an I just don't think he can ever control it.
