Central's team speed was too much for Spencer County to contain, as the Yellowjackets (5-6) ran for 340 yards as a team and rolled to a 38-10 victory at home last night in the first round of the KHSAA Class 3-A playoffs.
Central junior running back Anthony Wales, amassed 256 rushing yards on 13 carries; scoring on runs of 64, 52, 14 and 44. Central senior receiver Kevon Dunbar caught for four passes for 128 yards.
Visiting Bears (0-11) senior quarterback Kevin Hume ran 23 times for 78 yards and scored on a one yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Yellowjackets advance to the second round and will play Moore, in next weeks Friday match-up.
