Chase Lyons and Lance Bowman. Gerry Fields and Chris Clevinger were good players also.

No way Matt Belcher should be on this list. He was terrible overrated. I would take Robbie Spears, Justin Coleman, or T.R. Adkins ahead of him...

Justin Page and John Meade were both good ones. Meade was overlooked because he wasn't much of a scorer...

Shelby Valley, in no particular order:

Shannon Akers
Jeremy Johnson
Chad Bowling
Jeremy Akers
Patrick Tackett
#16
I don't know any older players at Prestonsburg but I do know that John Ortega was one of them. Probably say the whole 96-97 team was pretty good. Probably some of the best players ever.

What about Ricky D Adkins or Robyn Chaplin or Jarod Adkins?

"basketballjones" Wrote:What about Ricky D Adkins or Robyn Chaplin or Jarod Adkins?

Those guys are good choices but just look at my list

Roger Pigg - Millard's all time leading scorer and rebounder

Bill Bevins - A good scroer who scored over 1,000 points in his career

Jason Branham - A great! Rebounder was second or third in the state his senior year

Bert Sykes - During his junior year beofre he left for Millard they were 7-1 had beaten Pike Central and he was avg. over 20 points a game and was thought of as the best player in the 59th and was right up there in the region injuries slowled him up his senior season.

Jamie Rose - Was a great inside scorer who gave Millard a great inside game which they would lack until a few years later.

Ricky was a great player but he wasn't as good as Bill Bevins and Jarrod Adkins was a good player and carried Millard but Bill Bevins was a better player and so was Roger Pigg in his prime.
