I have heard through a few people that Pike Co. Middle School Boys teams will have new rules to follow this year.

Are they limiting games and and when you can start practice and play games?

They limited the number of games in a season and number of tournaments you could be in, though these rules have always been on the book and never enforced until this year. As for when you can start practice, etc... I'm not sure about that.

24 regular games plus 2 tournaments, not counting the postseason. They said they didn't want boys to start playing games until the girls county tournament was over. As far as practicing, nothing was mentioned about that. As far as I know, there is no rule covering practice.

I am so ready for some Belfry Middle School basketball, I think this is going to be a great year!!

To the best of my knowledge, practice was not supposed to start until after the county football championship was played (October 21st). I could be wrong though.
