Boyle is showing off its new artificial field this week. My guess is that there will be a running clock before this game is over. At least, I hope so.

Boyle should have no problem with Mercer Co,but you never know.I take Boyle by a 35-14 score.Might be a larger margin or smaller.

Should be at the Bell/JC game, but con't drag myself away. This game won't even be close. Boyle by as much as they want. The Bell game probably won't be close either. Go BC's.

Is this the week our 'D' shows up that we've been expecting all year? I sure hope so! It'd be a great way to break in the turf...

I guess you folks predicting Mercer to score don't know that their starting rb isn't playing and their starting qb isn't playing. If Mercer scores.......it's an accident.

I have not followed Mercer County since they beat Russell for the state championship with the fantum TD. It appears that when you play in the division that you belong in it is much tougher.

The qb that played for Mercer in the 2nd half against Anderson looked alot better than the starter. I think he wants to play qb where I heard the other one didn't want to play qb in the 1st place. Mercer still has the fastest kid in the state in the backfield along with the kid that finished 6th in in the state. They also have the Banks kid that started at fb last year but hasnt played much offense this year.

Danville could be a huge threat if they don't figure out how to cover the deep ball. From what I saw at Corbin and heard about their other two games just line up and throw it deep every play. Yea you will have several three and outs but you will also put up 21-28 points and give yourself a shot.

I see threats. (Then again I'm paranoid. :biggrin

Lex Cath won't roll over and die, and Christian County will be a formidable foe.
As to the playoffs, remember that Boyle's side of the bracket includes possible matchups with Holmes and/or Western. I think it will be a harder road for the Rebels this year than last to repeat. If they do get it all together and can win another 4A crown it would mean they would have earned it all the way.

To be honest, that scouting report is nothing new vs. Boyle. Bell's only movment of the ball last year vs. the Rebs occurred on 2 long pass plays. Lex Cath has traditionally been their greatest threat to Boyle when they have a good QB who can spread them out. Also, see Lone Oak film.
The key is completing enough to put points on the board and hold Boyle's offense in check as well. The pleasant surprise to this point for Rebel Nation is the offense if a lot farther along than any thought it would be after 3 games and there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Talk about a pleasent surprise! I can't remember if it was this site or another where a former boyle supporter claimed Lex. Cath. as world beaters and said that Boyle couldn't win if the offense couldn't score. Where is that rd11 cat anyways?
