Got to see the Ashland scrimmage. Ashland looked much more polished than I thought they would for this early. They simply are better than anyone in the area this season. They'll win by 5 tds. I know that's alot, but think it will be the margin. I hope I'm wrong.

Ashland should have no issues in this one. Tomcats by 24

if Ashland o and d comes out at least 21. I think the freshman qb should play fb with his size

Also greenup was all up before this week. Haven't of the 9-10 reg season since what's up with that

I must give this one to ashland but I do belive it'll be close. GC has the best team they've had in a few years I think it'll suprise some people.

You guys are in for a surprise. Ashland will not be able to stop GC's run game.

I think GC will be improved, but not enough to stay with the Tomcats. Gc will not be able to stop Ashland. I say the Tomcats by 3 TD's.

The big GC hype train will crash hard versus the Tomcats. Better just hope they have enough left for Russell in Week 2.

Coach Copely has had a entire year to get ready for this season. The boys have practiced hard and have hit the weight room all year. They have a big senior class this year unlike last year when the team was mostly made up of juniors. Ashland is a good team thats for sure. I just dont see 3 tds. GC does have a great running game and they have a QB this year. Their O and D line are good also. If the Defence can hold the tomcats some it'll be a good game:Clap:

A great running game would be one that has at least taken a snap in the regular season. Or at least was great last season and returning with the same form. I'll hold out on calling the GC running attack great.

He is much stronger and faster this season and has an experienced line who are twice as strong this year as they were last. Look for Lyle and Marsh to both have a good game on the ground. Marsh will be the fastest kid on the field Friday night.

I'll predict that Ashland holds Greenup under 150 yards of total offense.

I'm glad Raceland plays on saturday.. I will be able to attend this one as I did last year.. Althought last year I left at halftime to attend Fairview/West Carter... I wish more games were flip flopped like this so I could attend more. I'd love to see Russell/Greenup..

I think your right Kosar. The Tomcats should not underestimate GC this year.
08-17-2010, 12:45 PM
its not underestimating greenup we understand theyve improved and have a great coach they *h.u.n.g. tough for a little while last year when the tomcats even had rashard carter in there backfield but right before half it got ugly. i expect greenup to keep it close a little longer it being at greenup but halfway thru the third the tomcats run away with it
08-17-2010, 01:51 PM
I agree. Ashland in the 2nd half will take over and win by 21
08-17-2010, 02:48 PM
GC has one experienced player in the backfield. Ashland has the fastest and most athletic Defense in the area. That is not a recipe for success.
