Stenzel commits to Eastern
[Image: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_xJCtuZcrZYQ/TG...el0710.jpg]One of the state's top seniors - Clark County guard Robbie Stenzel - has picked Eastern Kentucky University.
The 6-foot-4 Stenzel also had offers from UTEP, Samford, New Hampshire, Gardner-Webb, Morehead State and Tennessee Tech.
"I always liked them and always knew it was a good program," Stenzel said. "But I decided two or three days ago after talking with coach (AAU coach Jeff) Davis. We just talked a lot about how it was a perfect fit for me."
Stenzel, who was a first-team member on The Courier-Journal's All-State team as a junior, has been a starter on the Clark County varsity since the eighth-grade. He averaged 13.8 points and five assists as a junior.
Ranked as one of the top five prospects in the state prior to the influx of transfers, averaged 21 points as a freshman and 15.7 points during his sophomore season.
"They shoot a lot of three's and come off a lot of screens and that's what I do best," Stenzel said. "I loved everything about Eastern and the coaching staff."

Eastern is a great fit for Robbie. I know that he has been their #1 player that they wanted to sign according to the coaches.
