there good but belfry and sf is better...they won't win the all a or the region.

there not overrated!!!!!!!!!!! they are 9-3 and played all good teams in the tiger hoops classic and in georgia. They are by far the best team in the region not sf.

This is a NEW year Fan, haven't seen Paintsville "totally cheat" any team this year. I'm not gonna sit here and say that Paintsville is the BEST team in the 15th cause I haven't seen everyone play, I've heard Belfry is tougher than nails. BUT as far as team I have SEEN play from the 15th, Paintsville is the best, then SF after that, and IF Magoffin plays against everyone else like they did Paintsville, then they will be right there in the mix of things. Lawrence ain't bad when Thompson is having a good night. The season is too early to be predicting who will win the region, there are a couple teams that could walk away the champs. As far as OVERRATED goes, Johnson Central would fit in that category so far, they haven't lived up to ANY of the hype about them before the season.

Paintsville... not the best in the region. Well, some nights they could be. But that is the same for alot of schools in the region. Any team can win the All A or the 15th region. The winner will be the team who is on that givin night. At the end of last season. Paintsville was the clear cut favorite. Now, it isnt so. They still are a good team in my opinion, but not the best in the region yet.

Paintsville is potentially the best team in the region hands down. Now IMO Belfry is the biggest threat to knock off the Tigers. P'ville is loaded down with perimeter players, just like Belfry, and just like Belfry they have a stud who can carry them and a shooter that can fill it up. These two teams match up extremley well with good perimeter players on both sides and a lacking inside game on both sides.
South Floyd IMO is a bit behind these two. The Raiders have a losing record and have no quality wins except for JC and that was the first game of the year. They don't get mentioned with Paintsville and Belfry untill they prove they are for real by beating someone worthy.
I can think of alot of teams that I would put ahead of Soth Floyd. Pike Central, Johnson Central, and even Sheldon Clark are all above the Raiders IMO. All these teams have played similar schedules with more quality wins. Untill they prove otherwise the only thing South Floyd is doing well is boasting about themselves as they lose 6 of their last 7 games.

well they have a very young team, there is much hype about them but i wouldnt say over rated they have 9 wins over 3 loses and for a team built of sophmores and a few older players i think this team will do well this year and may go far but thats if they keep up what there doing and try there best to improve...good luck tigers

It's pointless to start a thread like this because obviously the people that give Paintsville credit are mostly the ones that go there, and when they do they embellish what the team has accomplished... I go to Paintsville but seriously people just give them more credit than is due... on the other hand, many of the people who discredit Paintsville just say stuff because they don't like them or have a grudge... they don't really use facts in their arguments just personal biases... Will they win the region... who knows, anything can happen at tournament time... overrated I don't think so, everyone just expected way to much from the beginning... only time will tell if they meet the extremely high expectation, but they are a good basketball team and playing well right now...

Why the hell does everybody say so many bad things about Paintsville. I go to that school and I will never be able to understand that. The only thing I can get out of it is that they have wipped your school's ass so much that you just cant face the facts that they are always good. So just quit with all the stupid comments about Paintsville.

Hold up now Pine, I am a Paintsville alumnist, I played for Paintsville and BMR and will ALWAYS support the Tigers. But to say that Belfry is nowhere near Paintsville, can't hold their jocks, and being overrated is ridiculous. Belfry is a fundmentally sound basketball team with very athletic players. Maynard IS one of the best players in this region if not the best. I LOVE Paintsville Tiger basketball, have since I was a little boy growing up watching some of the best players to ever come thru that school, JR, Todd, Josh McKenzie, Matt Ratliff, Craig Ratliff, Brian Lyons, Jimmy Wayne Frazier, John Holbrook just to name a few, and I would give ANYTHING to go back and play basketball again, I miss it more than I do football, and I play college football. Paintsville is NOWHERE where they need to be at this point in time to be saying that noone in this region can hold their jocks, NOWHERE. YES you are right about some people getting on here dogging Paintsville just because they don't like them, but it's stuff like saying "Belfy is no where near Paintsville. Belfry cant even hold Paintsville's jocks. Belfry is the team that is overrated big time." that makes people even more hatred towards Paintsville, ****iness and arrogance, you think the boys don't get on here and read this stuff, it doesn't do anything but give them the "Big Head".
