Mercy Academy, which has won two straight state championships, is No. 1 in the preseason Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25.

Sacred Heart, the state runner-up to Mercy the past two seasons, is No. 2. Assumption is No. 3.

The high school volleyball season will start Monday.

Surprised not to see Henry Clay on this list, I thought they recently won the varsity championship at the BGSG. Does every school have a vote in the KVCA? Just wondering, seen some really unusual polls from them early last season.
