I wasn't even a big Kid Rock fan and only knew songs off from his "Devil Without a Cause" album but I have been to TWO different concerts for 2 different albums and I loved them. He puts on an amazing show and even if you paid $75.00 for tickets then you get your money's worth.
Twisted Brown Truckers is his band. They provide the music on all of his albums and I haven't heard any songs that they have done the vocals on but they are awesome musically. They have great guitarist and an awesome FEMALE drummer if it is still the same one.
I saw Kid in concert in two different arenas and the atmospheres were great. He had an awesome stage set, huge screens, cool backdrops, great pyro, and everything. He does a wide variety of songs. Does everything from his first to most current album. Will do encores. Gets the audience involved. The bass booms and the lights and pyro lights up the arena.
There isn't a bad seat in the whole Expo Center and you won't be dissapointed.
I probably won't be going to this show because quite frankly, I don't have the extra cash and I saw him in concert pretty recently but I would honestly recommend any fans of his or just that type of music in general to go.

Thanks for the heads up Tribe...I didn't know Twisted Brown Truckers was his band, I just figured they were a opening act, I have never heard of them. This will be a great show.

TBT band has always provided his background music, for at least the most popular.
He has mentioned them in some of his songs, ex: "Twisted Brown Trucker's like a loaded gun, there the band that other bands run from"
No problem with the info, just figured that I would share my experiences with his concerts.
Oh and GUYS, the shows that I went to both had dancers in bra like tops and thongs dancing in 2 cages, 2 strippers apiece, one on each side of the stage.....gets pretty provocative too...just thought that you might like to know.

I've seen him twice, and in my opinion he puts on a hell of a show well worth $37.
01-04-2006, 12:45 AM
I think that I might go
01-04-2006, 02:29 PM
$37 a ticket for this show is very reasonable IMO. I have not been to a show yet in the Expo Center but this is one that I want to see and I will be ordering 2 tickets on Saturday morning.

I went and seen Kid Rock a few years ago and I thought it was awesome. Then again it was like my first concert so I would have thought it was awesome no matter who it was. But I like Kid Rock so it'd be nice if I could go to it.

Same here the ultimate1 I went and seen him a couple years ago and it was my first concert to and it was a really awesome concert.

I've also seen him twice. Definitely worth spending 37 dollars for.

Did anybody buy tickets?? I'm guessing it's sold out because I can't get any from ticketmaster.com
01-07-2006, 08:26 PM
My cousin got on ticketmaster.com at 10:02 and all that was left was nosebleed section.
Some of my friends went at 4am to get in line so maybe they got some better seats.

did anyone get tickets
01-08-2006, 03:20 AM
Got up at noon, got on. And well I found 2 pairs of seats together. Both up top so I passed, don't know what the deal was. Found another pair not good seats. So I passed as well. Sounds to me like scalpers have hit this show up. Seen him in Huntington back in 2000 or 2001, was awesome. Oh well, guess I'll sit this one out unless a miracle happens.
01-08-2006, 11:14 AM
We got two pairs of tickets. two is floor seating, the other two are lower level. Got them online of course. I heard they was sold out very quickly. I dont know if they are really any nose bleed seats in the expo center. It isnt that big of a building after all.
01-08-2006, 03:57 PM
Not literally nosebleed because it's true, the Expo is rather small but I meant upper level seating in the high up rows.
01-09-2006, 03:58 PM
That is still alot closer than you can get in alot of other arena's.
01-09-2006, 04:22 PM
Very true. Not good enough for some people that were pumped about that concert though. Those girls wanted pretty close tickets and I mean my cousin did too, anyone would want as close as possible.
I agree that the ****hest back in the Expo isn't as far back as it gets in other arenas but still, the closer the better. I had great seats both times that I went.

I wanted down on the floor, especially for this one. I'm sorry I can't get into a concert sitting up high not being able to tell much about about the singer or the band. No there isn't a bad seat in the house to watch, something like Harlem Globetrotters. But a big concert of sorts I'd much rather be on the floor.
01-09-2006, 04:53 PM
I got 4 tickets in the top row of section 122. Me and my girl are going with one of her friends and her boyfriend that have never been to Pikeville so it should be a great time.
01-09-2006, 05:06 PM
I also heard a rumor that a 500 room hotel that will share a common wall with the Expo Center is in the plans....I heard it was a Hilton brand hotel that would have a 4 star resturant in it...anyone else heard anything about this?

Who cares? This man cannot sing. I don't know how he got so famous. People must be going to see him for another reason, it can't be vocal talent.
01-09-2006, 07:07 PM
Different strokes for different folks...I am a fan of his music.
