Im not familiar with how the programs are going after last years season. How have they shaped up and who have they lost?

Then I will make a prediction.

East Ridge lost 4 Seniors (2 All-Staters) and Shelby Valley lost about (I dont know the actual number) 10+. It's East Ridges for the taking, but I dont know if they have the senior leadership that they have had in the past to get the job done. I believe they can squeak it out though. But I want to watch both team's scrimmages first.

Thank you good sir. I think that I am leaning towards East Ridge winning this game but I may have to wait a lil bit closer to the beginning of the season to make a concrete prediction.

I don't expect anyone to "run away" with this one, but Valley took heavy losses from last year's squad, and East Ridge returns several players. I expect this to be a very close and competitive game.
#8
I am sure ER will dominate SV. Sad that Valley has let their football program come to this.
#9
I think valley has a good program, their middle school is tops and from what i saw on their jv squad last year they should be able to compete with p-burg for the district
#10
If this game is on Saturday I could see some of the LC contigent making the trip to see this one..
#11
east ridge will kill valley the only way ER loses this game if they dont show up
#12
Sv 26
er 12

I always pick ER over Valley and I'm always wrong...lol. But I'm going to continue that this year..Hopefully ER's program will show the result of their hard work and great coaching. I think they can have some of the same success that SV and PC have enjoyed over the last few years.

ER 22
SV 13

Many times, I can recall several times ER was within a touchdown of winning.

East Ridge has came within a touchdown of winning 1 time. They came within 8 points 2 other times. The rest have been humiliating losses. I don't see it changing this year.

2009 - Shelby Valley 52 East Ridge 13
2008 - Shelby Valley 60 East Ridge 14
2007 - Shelby Valley 61 East Ridge 19
2006 - Shelby Valley 20 East Ridge 12
2005 - Shelby Valley 14 East Ridge 6
2004 - Shelby Valley 38 East Ridge 12
2003 - Shelby Valley 35 East Ridge 13
2002 - Shelby Valley 27 East Ridge 22

I long awaited your opinion. But you need to take your biased glasses off and look around. East Ridge has the talent and the coaching. Mind you, this game, which will almost certainly played at Shelby Valley will give SV the home field advantage for the 4th year in a row. I have made my opinion stated and said my side. Win or lose, I look forward to your opinions after this game. I am sure you will be surprised.

Valley is going to be down this year, no doubt about it. Question is, will they be down enough for East Ridge to get the win? As I said earlier, I expect this to be a close game. I don't look for either team to dominate the other.

im taking er...when and wat time is it..

Shelby Valley will be down this yr., no dought about it. I give the edge to E.R. this time around. E.R.-14--Valley-12

Everyone on this thread does realize that Shelby Valley has a new transfer from Louisville right? Also from what I have seen, he will be the quickest and most elusive player in the Mountains.
#23
When did East Ridge get so good last year to be able to cause a "buzz" this year. Shelby Valley is still the better team and ER will be better but not that much better with the elusive Power -t.

Its not that they have gotten better, just that everyone else around them has lost a lot. East Ridge is a much better team this year compared to Valley, and just FYI, they run a Double Wing offense.

ER will beat valley soundly
#26
Im gonna take Valley by 6.

When is this game?
#27
its at valey aug 27 6 30

The game is at Valley, and Valley plays week 0, so they have a full week to work out the kinks. Shelby Valley also has transfers Tim Smith( Iroquois High) and Brett Reynolds (Paintsville). Two players that East Ridge just will not be able to match up against.

ER - 14
Shelby Valley - 44

I'll eat my hat if Shelby Valley beats ER that bad. Epically if Norman is there.
#30
i think ER can match up with them ER wil pund on them the whole night
probly one of the best backfields in the mountains
dalton lewis rushed for over 1,200 yards as did patrick casey and his brother brayn casey rushed for over 500 yards so i look for them to run right over valley
