After he left my house today, he went shopping. He passed out in Wal-Mart and they took him to the emergency room. They don't know exactly what is wrong with him right now, they were thinking that it may be his blood sugar. He has been having some problems lately with his stomach and he has lost down to around 130 pounds. Everyone knows that that is not a healthy weight for a teenage boy but just please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. His aunt called me and told me that they are in the ER right now, he is awake, and she will let me know any other updates. As soon as I know something, then I will try to let you guys know. If he is hospitalized, then I am going down there to be with him.
He is a mod here and reads the site daily whether he posts or not and he would like to know that his friends here are thinking about him I am sure. You know that we are best friends and this would mean alot to me too.
Thanks.

No one has called back yet and let me know anything else.
The emergency room process is usually pretty slow and takes around 3 hours from start to finish so I will just sit and wait. That's all I can do.

I hope everything is ok with him.. I'll be praying for him..
Although at 130, I don't know if he would pass out due to blood sugar problems. Unless it bottomed out on him.. But still passing out don't usually happen, and in high blood sugar, there is a chance of passing out, but not likely..
I hope he is ok.. and keep us posted tribe..

Just got home from the hospital.
They admitted him so he will be spending the night.
They are thinking that he may have a bleeding ulcer and are considering doing a scope.
The doctor just basically checked vitals tonight and will do more in the morning.
I will let you guys know.
Thanks for the concern though.

I spent the day with him today. Doctor says that he may be coming home tommorow or Christmas Day. He is feeling great he says. They are still monitoring him and testing some. He ate some today, they stopped monitoring vitals, and he is moving around very well. He just wants to come home he says and sleep in his own bed. He doesn't seem to be very weak and in no pain. The scope cannot be performed until Jan. They are thinking that it is a bleeding ulcer or something lining his intestines. Will update on his condition more tommorow after the doctor comes in.

Hope he is feeling better. Sorry I just saw this for the first time. He certainly needs to follow up with the scope not to make him or you worry but the bleeding ulcer could be a good thing compared to other possible problems with similar signs and symptoms. Just make sure he follows up and has it done. Age doesn't matter.

I'm home and just got out of the shower. Funny thing, mom spilled sprite all over my hair when I was laying in the floor at wal-mart, and I just now got the oppurtunity to wash it out. She was so shaky that night.
I do feel great now, they don't think it was blood sugar, they think I got dehydrated and just hit bottom. I've had the IV in me for 2 and a half days now, just got it out before I left. Hospital food is the one thing worse than school food.
Overall, I'm great. Thanks everyone, and Merry Christmas to you all too.
Later.

Good to hear that you are home, bud.
Make sure you pay attention to how you feel (but don't obsess over it). Get plenty of fluids (and not pop, coke or carbonated beverages).
Hang in there--have a good holiday.

So right Doc.
That's what the doctor thinks caused my sugar problems. That use to be the only thing I would drink.

Yeah, like I said, I feel great.
Just needed to be home. I spent the afternoon at my sisters house exchanging presents. I came home and hooked up my Xbox360 and now I'm playing some Xbox Live Halo 2 with my cousins.
Tomorrow, I'm a bit bummed out because I was supposed to go eat Christmas Dinner with thetribe at her Mamaw's. Mom won't let me go because she's afraid I'll pass out again. It totally sucks because, her mamaw never buys a ham. This year, she bought and is cooking a ham so that I'll have something to eat. (I hate turkey.) For now though, my main drink is apple juice which was recommended by my doctor.
It sucks, but I feel a whole lot better. I get my check-up on my bloodwork and tests next week at the clinic, and after the new year and my doctor gets back from vacation... I get my scopes, which I am not looking forward to that much. That's understandable though.
Thanks again guys, Merry Christmas.

Good to hear but really make sure you follow up with the scopes. Not trying to scare you or make you worry but this will be sure to clear up any chances of the problem being something else. Good luck and enjoy Christmas.

Yeah, don't worry about that bub. The only time I was worried is right after the clumsy nurse ripped my arm open trying to put the IV in. He literally got his glove pinned between the needle and my arm, and jerked them out, and blood squirted all over the ER. I almost passed out it hurt so bad. All of the rest of the time, I was bored out of my mind and going crazy when my only company was my family. <3 Tribe and thanks so much.
