Why are there so few film makers dealing with radical Islamic terrorism as a subject. As the film clip below shows, there is some potentially funny material out there and ridicule is a lethal weapon when properly applied. (Think of the hapless shoe and crotch bombers.) Is Hollywood too cowardly to tackle this subject matter? I believe that they are. Fortunately, the Brits are not.

Most of the prominent Hollywood film makers are about as far left as you can go (i.e. Oliver Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Michael Moore, et al) and sympathize with the muslims. Assuming you could find a film maker willing to make such a film (other than 'American Carol), then you would have to find 'stars' willing to appear in such a film. A case in point, the poll below was conducted in 2006 but it shows the general trend of the elitist Hollywood 'stars'.

Another star, Angelina Jolie, said Arabs and Muslims are not terrorists, calling on the world to unite in confrontation of Israel.

Star George Clooney lashed out at American, Israeli and British leaders, mainly Bush, Sharon, Blair, Olmert and Condoleezza Rice, saying that these names will continue to be cursed in the history.

Star Mill Jepson blames all the destruction on earth on the Jews, hoping that the day comes when he fights them.

Al Pacino calls on the world to read Israel’s history “to know who the terrorists are”.

Star Dustin Hoffman laments the absence of human sentiments due to the existence of Israel.

Ralf Finesse equals the world to a jungle where the strong eat the weak, slamming the snobbish American vision toward Arabs” The US must stop disregard of Arabs as we are not better than them” he said.

Actor Will Smith called on the stop of massacres by any means.

And to think, Smith is considering entering politics. :yikes:

On a visit to England recently, I was taken back by the vast number of muslims in London. Check out British Blogger Lionheart to see the struggles the British people are now facing due to the 'multi-cultural' policies of the labour party (aka Democratic Party) - I predict the Conservative Party (Tories) will take back power in the next election. However, America needs to learn from the British so that History does not repeat itself (check out some of the You-tube videos of muslim activity in Detroit).

I agree with Angelina Jolie to a point, and that is, not all Muslims are terrorist, however if you check the facts I think you will fine that all of the terrorist that have attacked the U.S.A were Muslim.

I agree. Not all muslims are terrorists. Hollywood types are all too quick to blame America and her allies first rather than admit that radical muslims are out to destroy us. Don't you miss the days of patriotic actors such as Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, Clark Gable, even Elvis did his part, etc. Now it seems more disrespect the military and their mission against global terrorism than support our Country first.

I am eager to see how many American theaters show Four Lions. If the movie is half as good as the trailer, it could be very successful at the box office - but will the major theater chains have the guts to run it?

I doubt that it will be shown by the major theaters, I think it will be difficult to find this movie in the larger cities.

I agree. I am surprised that it was made in the UK but based on what I have read about the movie, the humor is at the terrorists' expense and it is not an attack on the religion of Islam.
