Agree. I am well pleased with the 10th region draw, could have been alot worse.

10th Region gets a gift.

Second year in a row the 9th has been paired up with the 2nd region with a potential match up with Scott Co looming in the second round.
The bottom bracket is very weak outside of Valley and Clark Co. I'd be very surprised if those two didn't meet in the semi's.
If Christian Co wins the 2nd, they could potentially have to beat Holmes, Scott Co, and then either Ballard, Trinity, or J'town just to get to the state championship. Talk about murderers row.

Shelby Valley has a good shot at coming out of the bottom part.

I don't agree, if you want to see a mountain team make a run what would it benefit them to play each other. Glad to see that if they do end up playing each other that both would have to win a couple of games first and that is a long way down the road but it doesn't hurt to hope.

If you're a Shelby Valley fan, you have to feel good about this draw, being able to avoid the 7th, 9th, and 11th region winner until the state championship.
The draw also keeps them from having to play Christian Co too who is also going to be in the upper bracket as long as they win the 2nd.
I'm predicting that either Clark Co or Shelby Valley comes out of the bottom bracket and makes it to the state championship.
I realize Iroquois is also down there but I don't think they're as good as Central was last year to make it to the state championship. I could be wrong though.
McCreary Central is another team to watch in the bottom bracket if they win the 12th. They have one of the best players in the state with Aaron Morris.

Oh believe me I would, they got a gift when they won in Darius Senior year. Yes, the Elliott rematch was tough after the way the Royals won the regular season matchup, But they were very fortunate to avoid Lexington Catholic that year.
I'm well aware how tough the 7th, 9th and 11th Regions are. No disrespect to any Regions in the bottom bracket, but I'm very happy those three will beat each other up.
I think we can all agree it will take a little bit of luck or just a horrid off night from Clark County for the Royals to win the 10th this year, IF they even get to the 10th Region finals.
Rivalry aside, if Clark represents the 10th, I will be happy for those kids and the tough loss they had in the Region final last year. Whether it's the Cardinals, Royals or anyone else, the 10th has a great shot to play on Saturday.

The 8th Region got a bad draw, but Shelby County did beat Trinity at Trinity this year. (Those two might not even make it to state though)

Thanks for the information!! I really appreicate it. When did they do the pairings.

Shelby Valley will get a look at Campbellsville at the all A this week. They have alot of size and a good coach. Tim Davis went to the State tourney twice with Marion County and won it in 1993 with Anthony Epps on the team. They have to get past North Hardin which wont be easy. What a deal for Holmes, Christian County and Scott county all to be playing each other in the first two rounds. got to look at the one that comes out of that group as a real favorite if they have any bullets left after those two battles

Don't overlook Perry Central in the bottom braket. There tough and well coached, wouldn't be suprised to see them playing Valley in the final four.

PCC has to get out of the 14th first. HAzard and KCC are both good enough to knock them off.
