Please post score's
#1
I think it is a shame when the coach will not place the score's of game's on the web site. I do see where some coach's may not want to not put up stat's but what would be the reason to not post a score. We have in place a system that let's people keep up with how team's are doing that live away from here. Why would a coach not take 5 min. to call in the score to the KHSAA it is a toll free #. Little help would be great from the rest of the BGR family. If you know a score for a game that is not posted on KHSAA please post and I will call it in myself.

Thank's,
Maid of the Mts.

Sorry, Coaches don't call in the scores. You want to complain, complain to the athletic department. It is the responsibility of the AD department, not the coaches!

Uhm. It's most coaches that call in the score of a game.

Most coach's call our score's in 13th. And I really don't want to cry about it, but some help is needed.

Most coaches across the state of Kentucky call in the score.

Also I'am not just talking about our schools or pointing finger at anyone. How do you get a score for example, Ohio Co. and Glasgow that played 2 week's ago. Now this not a real game or what has happen but this is only a example of what does go on. I have no way to find out who the AD is for both school's, or one.

Here are a few things coaches must do during the season. One must understand that it is the coach’s program not the administration’s program. The administration gave the coach the job and the coach is responsible for much more that organizing practices and coaching during the game. In actuality, on the floor is about 20 – 25% of the coach’s time with the team (using the model below, it is 1 of 13 items the coach must do), the rest is the administration of the team. See below. Also, take note of numbers 6 and 7. According to the KHSAA, the coach should call in the score, whether the game is played as the home team or as the visitor team. Each coach is given a KHSAA/Riherd’s Sports Scoreboard card with the 800 number. Obviously the home team should call it in following the game and, in this day and age of cell phones, the visiting team coach can call it in while on the bus traveling back to the school or the hotel. That way the score is posted.

DURING-SEASON RESPONSIBILITIES
______1. organize all practices and make game preparations.
______2. supervise locker room and other facilities.
______3. update rosters as needed, keeping the A.D. informed at all times.
______4. secure facilities (lights, doors, etc.).
______5. hold/attend staff meetings.
______6. communicate results to media. (win or lose!)
______7. turn in a "summary article" for the media during your season.
______8. organize all special events (senior nights, etc.).
______9. assist in fund raising projects.
_____10. maintain accurate records of all information necessary to administer an effective and efficient
program (statistics, KHSAA forms, etc.).
_____11. maintain active contact with student/athletes and their parents.
_____12. administer your "code of conduct".
_____13. keep the A . D. informed of any problems that may come up.

Why not let student managers do it? Most of those boys/girls LOVE to help their teams. I am not a student-manager and never was, but even I know how to call one in.
