NY Jets @ Cincinnati AFC Playoffs 1/9
#1
Who wins and why
#2
Bengals.

J. E. T. S. - Jets, Jets, Jets.

I don't think the Bengals laid down as much as many believe. Yes they limited the defense but the offense was still running quality plays that should have moved the ball. Players don't go out and get physically beat like that. To much danger of getting seriously injuried if you're on the field playing not to play at your best. That being said it will be a closer game but the Jets win.

Without Benson this year, this team has played an entirely different game. Defenses are not concerned about LJ, so the Jets stuffed the run on a rotation of EIGHT offensive linemen. You can't tell me that a team rotating their linemen can get any rythem. This Saturday will be a completely different offense.

The key to this game for the Bengals is Carson Palmer, their Pro-Bowl quarterback. If he is allowed to throw the ball (i say "allowed" because this O Coordinator, for whatever dumb reason, hasn't thrown the ball much at all) and get in his rythm, it will be tough for the Jets D to stop him. Look back at the Chargers game, the Bengals went back to a pass first team, and put up 24 points on a good Chargers team, and Palmer had 300+. Teams are catching on lately and stacking 7 to 8 in the box to stop Benson. Palmer has to throw to open that up and let Benson do his thing. If he does that, the Bengals will win.

Their defense was down last week with injuries, some of whom are returning this week. It seemed that they were just doing basic plays out there, and didn't have that competitive mentality. The defense will learn from last week. I don't expect them to shut down the #1 rushing attack in the league, but I expect them to minimize damage much better.

Ain't this the truth. Good post:Thumbs:

Benson will have a big day ,just having him out there seems to stoke the entire team.
Hope Palmer is up to gaining a couple of badly needed 1st downs by running & making his threat to run something the Jets will have to deal with. Cincy takes it when it counts. Looking for Chad to be ready today!

The Jets will win. They are playing very good football, and the Bengals are really struggling. Even before the Jets no-show last week, they werent playing very well. The Jets' offense isnt the '07 Patriots or anything, but it is better than Cincys, especially with an ailing Chad Johnson. Rex Ryans defense is dialed in right now too. Ill take the J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets! 21-17.
Go Jets!

It does not feel like playoff atmosphere around here like it did last time the Bengals were in the playoffs. I think people are pretty apathetic towards the Bengals. I had three people from work try to give me tickets, and my brother had two 50 yard line 14th row tickets given to him for free.
On a side note, am I the only one who thinks Marvin is not a very good coach? I think he was lucky enough to have some talent this year to get him to the playoffs, but I do not see good coaching. I still see players on the field not knowing what they are doing, even after timeouts. A perfect example is the game this year when they had 3 penalties and a time out before they even had a snap. However, getting to the playoffs with this franchise gives you a life long contract.

Bengals, obviously. Benson is back. Defense returns 3 starters back to the lineup. Everyone says Jets because of last weeks beatdown, but I don't think they realized we had nothing to play for, nothing to motivate us, but now it is EVERYTHING to play for. The Bengals D, from what I could tell, never even got out of their Base-D. Coach Zimmer will come up with some blitzes that will give The Sanchize fits. What I would like to see, besides a W of course, is let Benson run wild. Because Benson has heart, and talent, he won't let us lose today, plain and simple. I look for our O-line and D-line to be the keys in todays game. D-line returns Geathers and Peko, adding to our 4th ranked Run D, and the O-line HAS to get a push up front so Benson can get loose. First play of the game should be a play-action pass to the sideline to Ochocinco. WHO DEY!

You're still picking the Jets even after I congratulated you on a Bama Nat'l Championship? That's the nicest thing I've ever said to you! lol

Does anyone realize that the Bengals have only beaten 2 playoff teams this year? Cincinnatti does not have what it takes to get past this game. The Bengals beat Green Bay when they were struggling and beat an underachieving Ravens team twice. I'll put my money on the Jets anyday.

I'm not even going to get in this argument.

Gotta go with the Bengals in this one. IMO the Jets shouldnt even been in the playoffs everything just played in to there hands they had to win there last 2 games and the Colts and Bengals both sit out there best players.
