Upset alert. Male has been playing tough lately. Big win here!

Congrats Male!

Male has been inconsistent, but they've shown already that they can play and beat anyone.

Congrats Dawgs!

Male has six losses on the season (Clark County, Scott, Moore, Trinity, McCreary Central, and Jeffersontown) and a couple of big wins in the RBC against Clark County and West Jessamine. This win tonight (even though it was at home) proves that they can play with any team in the state and beat them.

Looks like the 7th region just got tougher (who thought that was possible?).

I did, and the season isn't over yet. Male has a very good team and a contender for the 7th.

Big win for Male in this one they beat a very good Eastern team. I didn't see this one coming and like someone else said the 7th may have got a little tougher. Looks like just getting out of the 7th region may be a tough task in itself!!!

This kind of surprises me. I watched Male and McCreary play on TV the other night and neither was all that impressive that night. Male must be very inconsistent. I know you can't judge a team based on one game, but after seeing Eastern at the Expo, I wouldn't think Male would have much of a chance against them.

I have seen Male play twice this year and both games they looked very good.

Moore is another team in the 7th I wouldn't forget about.

That's what I was thinking DW5 from seeing the same games you're talking about. They must be playing that (All or Nothing) kind of basketball and none of that in the middle, it looks like it may just depend on what night or day of the week that you catch them on.

Maybe they just played badly in the game I watched. Either way, most people around the state don't consider them one of the elite teams this season.

congrats male!!

Not a team in the top 25 that has been consistent

It's crazy how good the 7th region is this year. That regional tournament will probably be better than the sweet sixteen tourney! It will be interesting to see who makes it out of that tough region.

The 7th is loaded, Congrats Male, it is a shame they will only get one team to Rupp... That Regional tourny will be crazy....

I don't think Male was too up for McCreary(no offense as I like McCreary's team) having lost a heartbreaker the night before to Trinity giving up a 15 point second half lead.

I tried telling everyone before the season started that Male was a legit top 10 team. They didn't play like that early, but they're finally starting to live up to that hype with wins over Eastern and Clark Co.

Eastern is really struggling though without their team leader and best player from last year, Chris Dowe. He was what made them go last year. If Eastern is going to have he success they expected, they'll need either Delquan Thomas or Remy Abel to step up and take on that role.

Don't think we are going to see a dominate team, like Scott Co the last few years. Any one of these top teams can beat one another. Example, GRC beats Male, then in 5/3 Male beats GRC. I feel we are going to see this all season. Should make a interestering year, and the ranking of the teams going up and down like yo yo's.
