Cousins/Swopshire Incident

Okay, I closed the other thread because we where no longer discussing the game, so now I have a video taken by a fan at the game (whom had great seats BTW) and you may have seen it already but if not, here it is....

Okay, from what I notice from the video is that Swopshire is already on the floor and rolls over and DELIBERATELY knees Cousins in the head and he retaliates with an elbow. I also suggest you to watch the video at least 3 times before posting your opinion.

Watched it up teen times now and see contact..just not deliberate..However i could see both getting ejected though..becasue rule states that contact above the head is AUTOMATIC ejection...Which mean princess Cuz and swop should be ejected...I think he was trying to roll over on the ball and hit him

I did he was rolling over to get the ball and his knee hit him in the head...I can see Rasheed flying off and rubing his head in the ground over it though

Nope i think both of them he was trying to get posession of the ball...Yes Ville played dirty all night but i dont think that was intentional...Yes UK played dirty also

So it was just a natural movement of the knee by Swopshire while he was already lying on the floor?

Maybe I should dive onto my floor and roll over and hopefully my knee will kick back like Swopshire's did.

Maybe he mistook Swopshire's head for the ball. Otherwise it was no doubt deliberate.

Cousin has no class at all.

This isnt a big deal, especially now, because well, its over. But the fact is, Demarcus got knee'd in the head, delibrate or not, I dont know. But, I myself have a very short fuse, and get mad easy. If I got knee'd in the head, by my rival of all ppl, i'd probably do something similiar to what Demarcus did. Its just a reaction. And not to mention all the trash talking / shove fest that 'reportedly' happened before the game. Which had emotions higher than needed to be.
All I can say is, Swopshire and Reginald Delk are both lucky Cuz didnt do more.

Yea i didnt say he wasnt trying to swing that way cuz head just happend to be there:biggrin:He was trying to get on top of the ball and when he swung his knee he made contact

Ok idk about cuz bashing someones brains out...i mean he nearly dries when he gets the ball took or blocked...but agree in a rival game...all i was saying is swop was not meaning that...But Cuz flipped out and was ready to fight..he needs to realize he cant do that..if UK makes it to the final four and he does that ans gets ejected and causes Uk the game what will you say then

Another thing, DeMarcus Cousins is an 18-year old kid in a 30-year old man's body. He's still an immature adult that has some maturing to do. He will at some point get over his anger issues, but I honestly like the tough attitude because like I said in the UK/UL final score thread, he scares the heck out of most other big men. They play soft and he dominates them down low. We haven't had a player like him since Magloire, who played for Pitino.

agreed scaring them to death is all right but beating them is another....

If you are trying to get a ball from someone and are laying on your back...what are you goin to do..try to lay on the ball which was what he was trying to do

Dude, really get over it...Leave Cousins alone and let it go its over with...I think you just keep keep dogin Cousins becouse he doesnt play for loserville....Face it they lost and nothing is gonna change it...But Had I been Cousins I would have done the same thing......

How do you know he was trying to roll over and lay on the ball when its going to be called a jump ball anyways?

Ok yea game over Uk won..I said that a long time ago...No im not mad about him going to SuckyTucky and not VILLE but i was just saying Rasheed Jr. to grow up and not beat someones head in the ground in a basketball game...especially an ACCIDENT

He was fighting for the ball just as Swopshire was, well until Swopshire kneed Cousins in the head.

I totally agree! The 1st time was because they were falling down and the 2nd time was intentional!

Well i don't see how you get SuckyTucky out of a team that's ranked #3 in the nation and is undefeated but oh well. AND on another note that knee to the head an accident, cousins elbow looked more accidental than Swopshire's knee!

No Im not a thug but I will not let someone run over me either...He kneed him in the head and then got an elbow..whats funny is all you loserville ppl talking about cousins what about what your lil Swopshire he wasnt perfect...But that makes him a Thug too....If he was playing for U of L you wouldnt be calling him a thug

This has nothing to do with the Mountaineers winning or losing...just telling it how I see it. Cousins is a very talented players, but I hate his attitude and I think he is a thug.

Well he IS a hot head but you can't call him a thug for getting kneed in the head and retaliating if thats what you want to call it. To me it looked like he was just trying to maintain possession of the ball.
