Ken Griffey Jr. to change uniform numbers.
#1
He will be going from #30 to #3

That's correct.

On Friday, the Reds announced that their center fielder will be switching uniform numbers for the 2006 season. Goodbye No. 30 and hello No. 3.

Griffey wore No. 30 during all six of his seasons with Cincinnati. It was also the uniform number Ken Griffey Sr. wore while roaming the outfield at old Riverfront Stadium for the Reds.

Griffey Jr. changed to No. 3 in a way to honor his three children -- Trey, Taryn and Tevin -- each of whom wear the number while participating in sports.

During his days with the Mariners, Griffey Jr. wore No. 24. That number was already retired when he came to Cincinnati in honor of Tony Perez.

I like that number. #3.. but still i liked it the best when he wore #24
#9
it dont matter to me if his number was 00 or even 1,234... as long as he is healthy and playing well.

Don't like the change but maybe his luck will be better

Number 30 wasn't working i like it. It can't hurt.

Maybe it will bring him luck, injury plagued Griffey Jr.. who needs to have a few more good seasons before retiring
