IMO this was a great selection by the media, He is all that. I know that Miles Simpson had a great year, and so did McShera, but Andrews was the best.
It really seemed like last weekend in Bowling Green was just a playoff for Mr. Football. Anotonio Andrews was by far the most impressive. Followed by Collinsworth.

I hope that UK picks up these guys. I mean right now on rivals, Kentucky has somewhere around 5 unranked, 0 star athletes. I dont understand why we couldnt be giving those scholarships to Anotonio Andrews, McShera, etc. Ive watched these guys in person. Andrews reminds me a lot of Randell Cobb. Not the fastest or biggest, but just a ball player.

I still think it should have been MacShara, but I'm biased. Congrats to Antonio Andrews

FWIW, Unranked and 0 stars does not mean they are bad players. It simply means they haven't been evaluated yet. UK currently has 4 of these players. Mychal Bailey may end up being a 4 star coming out of JUCO when it is said and done.
Antonio Andrews is a pheominal player who is being hurt by his size. I expect him to end up at a place like WKU, EKU, or Murray State and he will be a fantastic player. The kid is simply a winner and some team will get a steal. McShara's height and speed hurts him alot.I would love to see UK land him as a preferred walk-on and bulk him up to be a fullback, but his best fit would be at a place like Centre or Georgetown.

Andrews is eminently capable of playing in the SEC and has talked to Vandy. UK should jump while the iron is hot.

Man goes for over 3000 yards and only 6 players have ever done this. He doesn't win we call the robbery 1st degree.:please:

But you are talking about a player that led his team to 3 state titles and if I do recall you guys had one to do the same come on.

I agree. Rees had a great year and would have been qualified had he won but Andrews won it and deserves it just as well.
BTW, my understanding is that the young man is going to the Air Force Academy.
