Feds Creek 47, Virgie 36
#1
I hope someone will post the particulars a little later, but I wanted to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to the Vikings on a truly signature win!!
#2
good job vikings!!!!!! :1:
#3
i want 2 know the details of this game.im curious about how each team played.
#4
I would have thought the game would be within a 5 point victory. Was Richardson his usual self?
#5
Congrats Feds Creek!!!!!!!! Guess the team so many thought unbeatable have been shown differently!!! Oh, notONCE but TWICE in less than a week!!!! Good game tonight Vikings.. Way to GO...
#6
well i think whenever u play at feds creek,u might as well add about 10-15 points on to feds creek.i just think that with feds creeks small floor and them being a pressing team really helps them out alot.thats just may be my opnion though.
#7
i still think that it is really hard to go over to feds creek and come out with a win for alot of different reasons.

Richardson really was a huge threat tonight. dont know if he was having a bad game, sick, or if FC two guard just shut him down. I think he ended up with like 8-12 points
But one kid who really impressed me tonight was the Newsome kid #3. Very dominat under the basket. Virge really played hard tonight and FC guard play was a big differents in the game. Justice had like 20 some and the miller kid had like 12-15. they was like 15/16 from the line together.

I'm a little surprised at the score in this one I figured the margin would be alot closer like two or three points going either way, FC must have been on their game tonight. Does anyone have any stats on this one?

You know, I really hate when you have jerks on here like you that look for every excuse to try to cheat kids out of thier victory! Blame it on the floor, blame it on the refs, blame it on the long drive out there, blame it on the poor P.A. system while you are at it. I'll tell you what you SHOULD do Sir, man-up, congratulate the kids on their victory, instead of looking for excuses for losing. I will guarantee that is what Virgie did after the game!
#11
For this night Justice was by far the best player on the floor.

I think FC has a good team period. With Justice and Miller really seeing the floor well. Congrats FC.

Congrats FC

I believe we are starting to see a few things this year. Feds Creek was going to be a tough team without Justice, he just took them to another level. Feds Creek is a lot better then anyone thought they was going to be.

Also, after watching Virgie at the Expo and seeing this score, maybe we was wrong about just how good they are. Or maybe, the rest of the county is just as good as Virgie are.

To be honest, if you make the final four in the county tournament this year, you deserve a banner.
#15
Well I have to agree with alley cat although you may think I am saying this because I am a Viking mom, but as I see it you can blame our wins on anything you would like if it makes you feel better. Dorton can blame the floor, the refs, or whatever else and so can Virgie. But Dorton didn't we beat you by 19 points at ER...and their floor is as big as yours...right what was the problem that day...oh let me guess you had a player out sick and I understand that does hurt but it doesn't hurt that bad. Now I will give you that you beat us at the Expo and not one time have we got here and blamed your win on something other than our boys didn't try hard that night and you all beat us...but as I see it noone else in the county can take a loss graciously. We have a good team and those boys have the potential to win lots of games if they try hard just let them have their wins and you have yours.

It is hard to go to any school and a get a win. You never get a fair called game no matter where you go.

The county is loaded this year. I don't belive you will see a bad game in middle school this year. Congrats to FC on the big win.:flame:

Feds Creek has gotten nothing but praise from our end. Kids are always going to get on a computer and say things that are controversial. Kids from all schools do that. If nothing else, we can lose with class. Show me one time we have acted classless after a loss. I respect what Feds Creek has done and not once have I made any excuses. I don't even remember saying that Owen was out when we played at East Ridge (I may have, but I think I may have responded to a question as to why he was out). Alleycat is a Dorton supporter and he definitely shows class with what he posts.

Justice was the best player on the floor tonight but i still am not convinced one team is the leader for the best team in Pike County right now. Feds Creek beat a good Dorton team at East Ridge and a good Virgie team at Feds Creek. Dorton beat a good Feds Creek and Virgie teams at the Expo and Virgie beat a good Dorton team at Dorton. So what have we learned?

I never like to blame anything on the referees cause i feel Feds Creek beat Virgie tonight on the floor but afterward someone told me the foul situation was 8 fouls called on Feds Creek and 16 fouls called on Virgie.

All i know is this year is a great year for Middle School basketball. In my opinion Feds Creek Dorton or Virgie will win it all and it all depends on who wants it more.

Coach, I totally respect you and your program. The person that I issued my response to is just an immature kid and I am sure he has nothing to do with the Dorton program. It just upsets me when people try to take things from kids. I should try to better about posting things.

I wasn't aiming what I said at you. I know you and I have a mutual respect for each other's programs. The mother that I was talking to made it sound like we were sore losers from the first 2 games, when nothing could be farther from the truth. We didn't snub our noses at the loss or blame the floor or anything else. I think anyone coming into your gym with the quick team you have this year is concerned about the size of the floor (because of the press), but they sure don't blame it if they lose. We respect you and your program for what it has accomplished.

You have me confused, first you say that everyone on here blames the floor, the refs and everything else when FC beats them but your fans say nothing. Well tell me if I'm wrong but didn't you say in your post that FC's fans are the only ones that can take a loss graciously, if that is true why didn't you just give Dorton their due credit and say they where the better team that night and go on instead of making excuses like(OUR BOYS DIDN"T TRY)when Dorton beat FC at the EXPO. You didn't have to get on here and contradict yourself, you had already done that by the way some of your fans(not all) were acting toward the end of the game at the EXPO. So don't say all FC's fans take a loss graciously because I've already seen and heard differently. Remember win or lose there is a right and a wrong way to go about it. I also know that Dorton's coach is one of the finest and fairest people you will compete against and I don't believe for a minute that he won't give credit where it is due if FC beats or anybody else beats Dorton he makes no excuses for his players, only that if they lose that they were beaten by a better team. :dontthink

Okay, in regards to FC's floor or lack there of...let's put blame where it belongs, squarely on the shoulders of the Pike County Board of Education...We were CHEATED out of a gym by the powers that be ( by the way gentleman where did that appropriated money go)...The people of this district were promised a completely revamped school, gym and all...What did we get??? A wall pushed backed 6 ft, plastic bleechers and a coat of paint! Woohoo, Aren't we lucky??? We have NEVER had representation at the board and we NEVER will...Our middle schoolers will go to East Ridge High and yet because of the way OUR district has been gerrymandered we can't even VOTE for the board member that represents East Ridges district, again AREN'T WE THE LUCKY ONES!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have let something get way out of control here. First, I am the one who started this by making some comments to a person who implied Feds Creek would cheat you and the floor would hinder your chance for success. Anyway, I should have ignored that comment and went on. It just makes me mad when people look for things to take from kids. I am very guilty of saying "you don't get calls on the road" I say that because I don't want excuses for losses! I am also terribly sorry that the Dorton program got drug into the middle of this. I have the UTMOST RESPECT for their school, basketball coach, basketball program, and for their fans in general, in fact the 2 schools have developed quite a nice friendly rivalry this year and many of the boys are good friends with each other. Therefore, I want to clip this thing before it gets started and say for the record that I'm sure Dorton had nothing to do with the rude comment I remarked about earlier and I am sincerely sorry that you were drawn into this.

First of all I would like to say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Justice and his Viking team!!! You guys played an awesome game last night. It was a tough game but when push came to shove you really showed you knew what to do. Keep up the GOOD work and we will go far!!
#29
Great win for FC, did Virgie play Man to Man defense against you guys, and how many points did Virgie's Richardson get?
#30
fedscreek is a name to be feared it just show's that virgie is just like eny other team they can be beat so the VIKINGS(1) are a real theat and add to the fact that coleman was sick and freeman had to step up all thought with no points but great D. smart basketball takeing the charge and justice putting it up and letting it rain. all i can say is good job to all the viking boys just got to keep the number 1.!!!!
