World Series MVP Hideki Matsui has agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels, according a report on the New York Times Web site. The deal is pending a physical.
Matsui was with the New York Yankees for the past seven years. Despite knee problems, the 35-year-old DH hit 28 home runs and drove in 90 runs. His three home runs and eight RBIs in the Yankees' World Series win over the Phillies made him the first Japanese-born MVP in league history.

Angels will be in need of a DH this year. Also I've heard the Yankees are trying to make Johnny Damon their DH so this would make sense.

i cant believe the Yanks would let their MVP get away. Especially to good rival team like the Angels.
