Congratulations Bell County!
#1
Another honest, unvarnished opinion:

I want to congratulate Bell County and its coaches and fans. Great team, great win in the regional final.
I was very sorry to see an outburst cast a pall over a game that featured a great performance from what could very well be another championship Bobcat team.
Coach Hilton and staff do an outstanding job and the players play every down hard and with pride.
Your program is an example of championship effort and success in modest surroundings.
I spoke at length with Coach Hilton and others before the game and have a genuine appreciation for what you accomplish, both as a representative of your home and of mountain football in general.
I wish your kids, fans, players and coaches all the best in the state semifinals and do plan to be at the game to see which BC will move on.
Though it might be easy to assume that no one associated with Lawrence County can lose with class and it might be tempting to paint a lot of people with a brush of "classless" because of the actions of a few, I wanted to tell you all that I truly appreciate your hard work and admire what you do on a year-in, year-out basis.
God Speed and good health.

P.S. If anyone has a negative word about Friday, keep it to yourself. This thread is intended purely as congratulations to true champions from someone who was on the painful side of more than just a score Friday.

Well said and honestly that is how the 99% of the people in Louisa I know feel.

dbcooper, I am sure that the coaches, players, fans and anyone that has anything to do with BC football admires, appreciates and has a lot of thankfulness for such kind words. Spoken like a true champion at heart and one that knows the price that coaches, coaches wives, players, mothers, and dads pay to compete year and year out on such a high level. VERY NICE POST

I'd like to say that the pride is county wide. The football team in Bell Co. should inspire all that with hard work, good direction and focus you can accomplish great things.

I would also like to thank the players and coaches for being able to refrain from retaliation. It could have been very costly.

The Bell Co Football team is like a BIG FAMILY. Thanks for the kind words.

Great post! We're very proud of the football program that we have here. People in general have no idea the hard work that is put in EACH and EVERY year to maintain a quality team each year. Congrats to the coaches, players, parents, other family members, and the bell county fans. Keep the hard work up and get ready for a very tough challenge this friday night. I have complete confidence in this staff to have their team ready to go on all cylinders against Boyle. Let's hope we can pull out another big victory.
And, for the Lawrence Co. fans, they will not be judged by actions of a few. Stupid things occur at times, let's just hope the ones that were involved learn from their mistakes.

Thanks easyM.

I will be at the Bell-Boyle match-up and for very personal reasons that have zero to do with the LC-Bell game, I will be pulling for Boyle (I have some lifetime friends there).
But if Bell can prevail, I will certainly be rooting for the Bobcats to bring home another trophy and it is my intention to be in Bowling Green to admire the work of whichever team represents this half of Class AAAA.

Somehow I missed this one last night. Great post DB and how most of us feel.
