I know there are a bunch of snow lovers on here, including me. Eastern and Central KY has a chance to pick up our first accumulating snowfall Sunday night and Monday. The weathermen in Lexington are saying that we have a good chance to pick up several inches snow, but they say that more times than it actually happens. I am wanting to take my 4-wheeler out in the snow so I hope they are right this time and we get a lot of the white stuff.

Huntington is saying the same thing will have more detail tomorrow. It will probably happen now while I'm working EXTRA and won't get to play then come my Xmas vacation it will be 70 or something.

I like snow....but I got a feeling it is going to be miserable walking to class in it.

I was on last night reading Chris Bailey's (WKYT Meteorologist) weather blog, and he said that he's basically calling off the snow that the low pressure that's supposed to form, will develop too far southeast of KY to bring any heavy snows. So looks like they missed yet another one.

The snow is not looking good now. It seems that we just miss on every snow storm. Eastern KY may still get in on the fun but it looks like Central KY will miss out.

I wuold like for it to stay around 60 degrees and then turn hot in March
I hate SNOW!!!!

I don't hate snow but it I don't want it to be enough to call school off or anything. I want to graduate and I really don't wanna have to go extra because of snow!

This is the only school year that you would ever hear me say that I don't want it to snow and call off much school. I wish that it would snow enough that they called off just the number of days allowed that uses the time we have banked and we have to go no extra days. I want to hurry up, graduate, and move. I can't wait to start college and the only object in my way right now would be snow days.
I love snow but driving in it and having to go outside in it sucks.
I can do without snow period but maybe have a little sprinkle for Christmas. This could be a dry winter for all that I care.

Still not snowing here amigos.

Chris Bailey, at WKYT, said that Pikeville and surronding cities could get 6 inches+ of snow tommorrow.
12-04-2005, 04:29 PM
I heard that and I heard 1-4 inches.
I wouldn't mind having some snow and getting out a few days of school but I do NOT want to miss enough to push back the last day of school this year.

Enjoy high school while you are still there....nothing wrong with spending a couple of extra days with your friends because after you graduate odds are that you will rarely see most of them. Plus someone could take a piss on the road in Pike and Floyd Counties and school is called off as soon as it freezes.

Floyd County is that way but over the past few years, Pike Co. has cracked down a little harder about when they call off school. Alot of times it has been REALLY bad trying to get to ER in the mornings and maybe the rest of the county was fine but there was like 3 inches or more of snow at my house. I am trying to enjoy my high school days but I want to get out of there really as soon as I can. I know that I won't be seeing very many people during college but the way that I look at that is, if we were great friends to begin with then we will keep in touch somehow.

That's the way it is. I don't get to see my friends, but my close ones, I still keep in touch with :thumb:

I told them the other day that I was not at school to make friends but the people that I actually cared about and loved, I would find a way to stay in touch with them. I will get their parent's phone numbers if I don't have them already so I can call from my house in P-burg and get their dorm numbers or whatever the case may be. I will have email addresses and things like that to work with. Where there is a will, there is a way. I will be living with my best friend and most of my others friends will not be any farther than Richmond away. All of them have to travel through or close to Prestonsburg to get back to their parent's homes anyway so when they come in on the weekends they can drop by our house and see us anytime. They will be in Richmond, Pippa Passes, and Pikeville so if I can't maintain contact with them and get some effort back to stay in touch then I guess we weren't as close as what I thought.

Pippa Passes is where Alice Lloyd College is located

They told us it was going to snow here, but we have not gotten anything so far.
12-04-2005, 09:57 PM
It's suppose to snow here in Floyd Co. tomorrow I do believe but if it comes then I'll be shocked. We were suppose to get snow yesterday and today and it hasn't done anything. I don't want to miss school to where they push back the last day because I want to hurry and get out of there and as far as friends is concerned,I haven't been to school since September and my good friends and I have managed to find ways to stay in touch. That doesn't sound like it'd be to bad but it's long distance to call and we don't live that close to each other.

Well you guys do much better than I do...I have only talked to about 5-8 people in my graduating class in the past 3 years.
12-04-2005, 10:49 PM
Awww I made Reiz all confused. Thanks for telling him 15th, I was in the shower or something.
And PHS, that really does suck but people do lose contact. I really don't mind not talking to ALOT of people that I will be graduating with but as long as I stay close to a selective few then it will all be just fine.
Oh and...no snow yet...

For Prestonsburg ... Weather.com says....
Cloudy skies early. A few snow showers developing later in the day. High 36F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 30%.
