Actually a really big altercation resulting in the ejection of multiple players. Looks like SC will be without quite a few starters next week vs Pike Central. That matchup looks very interesting now.

Belfry QB Williams goes 3/3 for 2 TD, also adds a 57 yard TD run. Big performances from Carroll, Runyon, and Bentley. Corey Charles picks off two INT's.

SC gained 32 total yards after their first drive which featured a long TD run.

Belfry's defense was outstanding, and once Sloan and Ray were ejected it was curtains for SC. Belfry lost their top 2 O and D Linemen in the fight as well. Wasn't a pretty game but Belfry all but sews up a District Title.

Just got in from the game............standing in endzone where fight happened.

1 team might have to forfeit a game next week and I am dead serious.

SC will be down 3 starters including Ray and Sloan next week due to the fight. Moore also got injured..don't know the extent.

Which team came on the field?

i think it was kind of an interesting game anyways because of the way Central played Belfry...I mean yes it could have been quited if the Cards had won or made this game interesting I think this will be the second more intriguing game around next week

I was wondering that myself????

The call on the spot on the missed field goal was horrible so SC was mad.

The strip boiled things over and a few players lost it, the ENTIRE SC team was over the white boundary........

Wow.... we will see how this pans out. The radio crew mentioned an entire team came out on the field but never elaborated who.

I also want to add, since it was a fumble about 6 players from Belfry were coming on the field, their offensive unit, as no one knew they were fighting......coaches did a good job of getting those guys back to the sideline and no Pirates came on the field until refs allowed it.

I am going to go ahead and say this up front to everyone:

BGR will not tolerate any insults or derogatory comments directed towards kids. There will be a zero tolerance policy for truly unfounded comments and statements directed to kids.

Pike Central 60 East Ridge 0 just an update for you all
#15
what do you expect from a coach that wants to coach at belfry?

FWIW I believe the matchup next week will be more important for the young Hawks than it will be for Sheldon Clark. Let me explain, a win by PC means home field in the 1st round which means a ton to a young team and new coach trying to build a program. Now Sheldon Clark has proven they can win big games on the road in the playoffs(Leslie Co., Mason County for example) and a possible matchup with Russell in the 1st round is something the Cardinals could handle in my opinion.

So can someone give me the results of the belfy vs Sc games the past 10 years?

this is a great point I will end this discussion with this point so we dont get this thread to off topic...To add to what you said above this would mean even more to those kids because it would be the first time the program, school and fan base would have gotten to experience it...Its been 4 year I think since Pike Central beat Sheldon Clark if im not mistaken may have been longer then that

please read post #13 no need for name calling
#23
I edited that but its the truth. Fighting is a complete mental breakdown of what not to do. no excuses I didnt mean the word redneck towards any player just using it to discribe fighting. I dont even know who the players were. I dont need too. Dont get off the subject of you can have nothing but zero tolerance for fighting.

I understand but lets just keep it clean

No name calling for sure. We must teach our kids to never ever never ever fight. Someone hits you you get away from them.
#26
I hate it because the kids cant play next week.
#27
No surprise here i knew belfry would man handle Sheldon clark pretty good. The Score was close to what i predicted too.
#28
Slammabama up North above the mason and dixon line fighting is called rednecking. Not a word towards an person but a name for an act.

There are other ways to voice your displeasure with a fight without calling teenagers stupid....

I understand but we are all human and sometimes things like this happen it just human nature...They will be punished and will learn from the experience that is the most important part. They now must move forward face the concequenes and as I said learn from this. Best thing is it didnt get to out of hand that everyone can be thankful for
