I knew NCC would make a deep run in the playoffs after I saw them against Pikeville in the Pike County Bowl back in August. They are a very good team and I knew that Somerset would not beat the Breds...congrats on making it to Louisville and good luck against Mayfield...I hope the Breds win the state title.

No problem 98...you guys go ahead and win it this year and if the Breds play my Panthers next season in semi-finals don't be greedy and take it easy on us so we can have a chance to play for a state title. Seriously though I look for you guys to win next week in a great game. Hopefully Coach J will have Pikeville playing at a higher level soon so that we can give you guys a good game on Thanksgiving weekend when we meet up again. BTW 98, I heard that NCC was playing Belfry next season in the Pike County Bowl...have you heard anything on that? Supposely it will be NCC vs. Belfry and Pikeville vs. Henry Clay.

It is going to be hard--but we will be there.

We need to keep that trophy in NKY!

I'm sure we'll do our best.

I honestly think an all running attack plays good for us, but not having Kiernan hurts!!!

Just remember--this is going to be a completely different type of running attack compared to what you are used to. I don't really know how to explain it. It is definitely a power running game--but the athletes are a completely different type of player as opposed to what we see up here.

Formation-wise (after looking through some of my old Mayfield stuff), you can expect Power I (normal and over-balanced), Ace, Ace Twins, a little I Pro, a little I Double Tight/Flank and at times--a little spread stuff to get an uneven look on the defense.

What is up with Kiernan?

Again--the timing, execution is really different than what we are used to seeing up here.

Defensively--I wouldn't be surprised to see 7/8 in the box and man coverage all the way around (they have the speed/athletes to get away with it). If they can get Sammy with the ball UNDER his arm--it could loosen things up a lot.

This will definitely be a solid game.

Congrats to NCC. I thought they'd take this one pretty easily as they showed. Good season to the Jumpers and good luck against Mayfield next week.

I said in August NCC is the best team in single A and I still believe that.
