The game is being played at UC's Nippert Stadium

Simon Kenton leads NewCath 14-8 at the half. A few notes/observations:

Miles Simpson is obviously hampered. He’s played sparingly. Sage Powell has been a more than adequate replacement. With Simpson dinged up, Powell appears to be the faster of the two. SK quarterback Chad Lawrence really knows how to use his blocks. NewCath is a scrappy little bunch. Lots of tough guys going both ways. Pound-for-pound, they’re as good as they’ve been the past few years, they just don’t have nearly as many bodies. Second half is starting now.

Simon Kenton receiver Ryan Winkler just won a jump ball in the corner of the end zone on a nice throw from Lawrence to give SK a 21-8 lead with 3:57 left in the third.

Just a hellacious 13-yard run from Chris Kelly. The kid broke like five tackles. NewCath is threatening.

SK linebacker Kenneth Lockard has been unblockable this half. After a bad snap and Lockard sack, NC is facing third-and goal from the 39.

NCC driving all the way to the SK 5 yard line, then a botched snap results in 2nd and 32, next play is a sack, 3rd and goal from the 39. SK's up 21-8
#12
Eighty yard drive nets SK another score, 29-8. Very impressive
#13
Zach Carroll just scored on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Chad Lawrence with 9:12 to play. NewCath is gassed. SK is having its way now.

New Cath 4th and 26, punting from their 18. Looks like this game is over

Big for SK... Going to get the win and their best player gets to rest and let his ankle heal.

NCC is a quality team, just no depth. This is a game that SK can build from. They will have beated a very good team without Simpson. Should be great for the teams confidence.

Simon Kenton 29, NewCath 8. That's a final from Nippert
