Quote:Police say a burglary suspect jumped in a river and drowned after a chase in Pike County.

State police say they tried to stop a white van in the yellow hill area believed to be driven by a suspect in an Elkhorn City burglary.

When trying to stop the vehicle, police say 37 year old Walter Holbrooks got out and jumped into the Levisa fork of the Big Sandy River.

His body was found in the river a short time later.
