As Michael Vick searches for a new NFL home, USA TODAY tracks the comments made by each team regarding their potential interest in the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback:
⢠Teams that have not made public comments about Vick: Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, San Diego Chargers.

This should have been included in one of the already three different threads that we have on the same subject, no need to start a fourth thread about it....

The Houston Texans is probably the only team out of this list that will choose to make a contract with him. I imagine it won't be a big contract and that he won't be much of a factor.
Personally, I see Michael Vick going to the UFL for a year. It seems Vick wants to go back to the NFL (maybe even as a backup quarterback), but I don't think any team is interested in signing him.

I think there a few teams interested but doesnt want the negative fan base from it

You can't have your cake and eat it too. The owners are going to have to suck it up if they really want him.

I don't want him on any team in the NFL. He deserves to play in the UFL. If the fans can stomach him there. The only remorse he has is that he got caught. I also definitely do not want him making PETA commercials, because all that will come out of his mouth are more lies, he doesn't care.

But he did his time. He paid his debt to society. If I was him, I would say "If I am not signed by a certain time. I am going to go to the UFL". All this waiting isn't helping him get prepared for any playing time this year. But he did do his time. He shouldn't get punished anymore. If someone robbed a bank, and did there jail time, should they be allowed to work at all and make a living?

Yes, but you wouldn't give him a job working in a bank. I know that's not comparing apples to apples, but the public perception of him is not good and not forgotten. His personna has alot to do with his job. There may be alot of men who wouldn't mind having him on their football team, but their are alot of women football lovers, and men, who say, not on my team. The sponsers of those teams get alot of flack from animal lovers and people call and tell them they'll pull their support from their products and that puts pressure on the company. You have to remember, these guys don't stay at home, they travel. He is going to find it very difficult to find an NFL team to take on that PR nightmare.

I'd rather see him go to the UFL. It does two things for him. Let's him get acclimated back to the game in a less than critical situation. If people are real, Vick cannot come back to the league after sitting out two years and be a legit threat. It's just not going to happen and never has happened in the history of the game. He needs to get reacquainted with the game.
Less Activist that are protesting his actions. In the NFL, the leagues are afraid to touch him due to the protesting that is going to take place. In the UFL, it will be somewhat less pronounced.
Play now. Instead of sitting out, go play immediately. Once he proves that he has game, then NFL teams will be all over him. If he signs with an NFL team, he is going to sign at a very cheap rate. No team is going to give him a big contract without knowing what he is capable of. Yes, signing a UFL contract is going to be even less than a league minimum NFL contract, but if he proves he can play, the sky is the limit with an upcoming NFL contract negotiation.
The UFL is right for him in a lot of ways.

I agree with you Stardust, if he is trying to say this is because Vick is black, his color of his skin has nothing to do with the evil that runs through his veins. Most people don't care for Brady anyway, unless your a Patriots fan. The rest of us can't stand him. But if the evidence was there for either one of them, I would feel no differently.

The one's who don't like Brady are those whose teams play against him.... The people in New England don't seem to have an issue with him:biggrin:

The only reason I don't like him is because he ain't a Packer. I think the rest of us would fill the same. Still like to watch him play even if he is a Patriots. What team do you like???

I got a little off topic. I forgot to write I think Vick might go to Washington, seems they don't have much confidence in Cambell.
