Myron âMan Mountainâ Pryor has agreed to terms on a deal with the New England Patriots, who selected him in the sixth round of Aprilâs draft. The team has not disclosed terms of the deal, but Pro Football Talk reports that itâs a four-year deal with a $79,000 signing bonus and total base value of $1.829 million. Congrats to Pryor as he begins a career with one of the NFLâs premier franchises. Soon, Iâll have to begin the process of talking myself into liking the Patriots, but for now, Iâll use this video to reflect momentarily on Pryorâs time as a Wildcat.

If you have to talk yourself into liking the Patriots because of Pryor, then I feel sorry for the team you are supposed to be loyal to. I enjoy watching a lot of former UK players, but I would never desert my team after 33 years because of a player. It makes me sick that Pryor lost his last year of eligibility and i think the store he purchased the product he was banned for, which I think was too stiff for, should have a federal label stating that if you play for the NFL or NCAA, it could cost you your eligibility or a ban. It makes me sicker that he has to play for the Patsies.

Good luck Myron. I ain't much of a Patriots fan. But I'll try and keep up with him in his time in the NFL.
