They finished 19-3 last year and are a Class A school in Indiana. They have a Senior to be, Tyrae Robinson, being recruited by Valpo and Indiana St and they also have a sophomore to be, Dejuan Marrero being recruited by Purdue, Indiana, Butler, and several other big D1 schools. From reading a scouting report on them from last year, I'd expect the match ups to be:

Holmes v Bowman Academy:

6'0 Mayfield v 5'10 Moore

6'5 R. Johnson v 6'1 Robinson

6'5 J. Johnson v 6'0 Joseph

6'6 Rice v 6'4 Bond

6'8 Pittman v 6'5 Marrero

Off the bench for GBA, they have two 6'4 forwards and two 6'3 forwards....then several 6'1 and 6'2 guards. They aren't a very big team and Holmes size should be too much for them. They usually play smaller Indiana schools so I think Holmes size, athleticism, and talent will probably be too much for this team.

Here's the scouting report and breakdown on them from the 08/09 season:

The Eagles finally become "official" this year, as the Gary charter school will join the Class A state tournament and a brand new gymnasium will open sometime in January. The team of sophomores that beat Roosevelt last year and took Lew Wallace into overtime is loaded with talent and deep. The 10 juniors have been playing varsity for three years. And freshman DeJuan Marrero could be the best ninth-grader in the state of Indiana. Bowman won big school team camp titles at Valparaiso University, Wabash College, Indiana University and Indiana State over the summer, finishing 40-1. In March they'll start their first of what they hope to be many runs to Conseco Fieldhouse. "I'm excited, the kids are excited, the school is excited about playing in the postseason," coach Marvin Rea said. "There's a light at the end of the tunnel this year. The kids have something extra to play for, more motivation. We have one of the toughest schedules in the state in order to get us ready for the postseason."
