I liked your list until I saw Chuck Wicks.... you are going to have to defend that choice to me because I not only don't consider him to be country at all.. but just feel his music (only two or three songs that he has released at that) is awful in general. I just cannot picture justifying him anywhere near some of the other leegnds on that list.

1. George Strait- His list of #1's says it all, plus his music is always fresh and not the same thing over and over.
2. Garth Brooks- Defined what a live country show should be, had he not retured he would be rivaling Strait for the most #1's.
3. Hank Williams, Sr.- The antithesis of what Country music originated from.
4. Johnny Cash-Added the badboy side to country music and pushed the boundaries. It is an edge that has since been lost thanks to idiots like Kenny Chesney who people seem to think is "country".
5. Brad Paisley- Best lyrics, best creativity, and best song writing of any recent country singer. plus he can play the guitar like no other.

I forgot about Diamond Rio. My wife and I saw them in concert at Prestonsburg high school gym probably 10 years ago maybe more. Nobody showed up, we could have set anywhere we wanted to. There might have been 500 people. They didn't hold it aginst us, they rocked. You should have seen their faces though, they were shocked. For that they will always be in my top 10.
