If you had the chance to choose...
#1
If you were given the opportunity to take over as GM of an NBA franchise, regardless of the age difference, who would you rather have on your team, LeBron or Kobe?

Personally, I take LeBron.
#2
both of these players are awesome!

id take LeBron
#3
Yea I would deff. take Lebron too he can just too more then Kobe and he knows how 2 get his teammates involved and that is rlly important but Kobe did start doing that these last couple years, but I think Lebron will be the better player at the end of his career...
#4
King james without a doubt!!!!
#5
Kobe is an amazing talent, but Lebron will be around for about 15 more years.
#6
Lebron..ANYDAY!
#7
I'll take the one with 4 rings.
#8
love my cavaliers no matter if there jenkins or cleveland have to go with lebron

Well, the question does ask "if you were the GM of a franchise". That being said, I would take LeBron.

LeBron a lot more gas in the tank and isn't yet in the peak of his prime. Kobe is just in the peak of his prime and should slowly fizzle out over the next few years.

There are so many different situations where I would choose Kobe though.

Looks like the Kobe/LeBron debate will never end.

Lebron cause he's got a lot more years left.
#11
Now a curveball.....

What if they were the same age?
#12
If they were the same age, most def Kobe. I mean, he can win championships. Plus he dont need the ref to call fouls for him every time he touches the ball.
#13
There IS NO COMPARISON! LEBRON! I don't care if the ages were switched, Kobe wasn't near the player Lebron is now at the current age.
#14
Kobe.
#15
Kobe
#16
LeBron. Simply because he will be in the league a lot longer. And Kobe is about ready to retire.

But, both are great athletes.

This is a great point, and why I would take LeBron. Because at this age, Kobe was surrounded by a wealth of talent in LA. They didn't lose everyone until Shaq left. LeBron has never had that kind of perennial talent around him like Kobe did at a young age in the league.

Lebron - due primarily to age

Lebron

Lebron

I'd think LeBron James would be the easiest to build a team around simply because he's more "rounded" (LeBron James could play as a shooting guard, small forward, or power forward). Kobe Bryant can only play shooting guard, point guard, and maybe small forward.

In other words, I would choose LeBron James.

Lebron, simply because he's younger and more versatile. He can play the 2 or the 3. Kobe can only play the 2. If Lebron played for the Lakers he would already have a ring, but the Cavs run there franchise like the magic did when Shaq was there. Surround a great player with a decent player and no one else. You can't win with just one.

I agree. By the way, Shaquille O'Neil won a bunch of NBA Championship rings when he left the Orlando Magic. LeBron James might notice that before the end of next season.
